The narrative itself has changed but what got me curious is why the Dragonborn itself doesn't get involve in the end. She's the chosen on that supposed to bring the end of Alduin destruction.
The only thing that Zavir said that the rumour was the Dragonborn was a coward and run away. That was the only thing he knew as the Dragonborn completely disappear after that... never to be seen again.
Though as interesting as the situation gonna be now that the whole narrative has changed.
But that also make me realise that the map that my system had was completely outdated as it still show Dawnstar without removing it entirely since it was destroyed already. Though I guess it would only be updated if I ever reach that destination just like this abandoned imperial camp itself.
The main problem right now was my destination itself. As reaching Dawnstar to resupply myself isn't an option anymore since there's nothing there already.
"So Zavir, is there any place for me to get some supply as I am on a journey to Solitude." I simply ask that as I was hoping Zavir could tell me that there's some place nearby for me to resupply.
Though as I see his expression, I guess it won't be easy as it sound.
Zavir let out a sigh and tell me this, "Well the closest city would be Morthal... but I highly suggest you don't go there. The place is dangerous even for travellers like yourself."
Morthal? I know that it have vampire at least in the town but I doubt it be a dangerous place as it doesn't even have anything important inside the place.
"Are you sure about that? Because I thought Morthal was pretty safe." I told Zavir about that.
"In the past it might be but lately there's a series of strange things happening in Morthal. And it's getting worst by the day. Not to mention there's a weird disease going around in Morthal."
I look at Zavir as he explain what was happening in Morthal. As I listen to him telling me what had happened, it seems like a lot of people got sick and there was a few that died from the disease.
And I can see Zavir looking quite scared when he mention it. Which makes me think that there's something else that was happening there and not just some sort of sickness.
Which make me curious on what actually happening in Morthal right now but despite my curiosity. I don't think it be wise to go and even check out the place after hearing those kind of stories. It better stay away and only visited the place after I had become stronger to overcomes the challenges ahead.
"But other than that. There's also another place where you can head to resupply yourself, it's not that far away from here. It's actually closer than Morthal itself and less dangerous too." Zavir said that with a smile.
"Really? And where is it?" I ask as I didn't even remember any settlement in the game near this place.
"It's a new settlement, not really new but a survivor from the Dawnstar massacre itself. They had built a small settlement called Thaumkr. It's not much but at least it's still surviving." Zavir said that as he begin to grab a map and point the location of it.
And the moment it does so, the map on my system got a location update as I could see the location of Thaumkr now.
Thaumkr, a place I have never heard before. But at least it's better than heading to Morthal. And probably there I can find out what really going on around the place.
"Thanks for the information Zavir. I truly appreciate it." I told him that as it seems like it's where I will be heading next.
"Ah it's nothing really. But you should sleep for the night so at the very least you can travel to Thaumkr safely." Zavir told me that and I couldn't help but agree with him.
I then nod and said, "I guess you're right. I do need some rest and sleep. And thanks as well for letting me use your tent."
"No worries friend, no worries." Zavir said as he begin to walk away as he probably gonna continue his watch.
I watch him walked away as I then decided to go back into the tent and rest myself as I am indeed tired after all the walk I had.
And I could only wonder what will happen tomorrow as I can only hope it won't be too hard of a journey ahead...
....
And now here we are. A new day in Skyrim. I woke up from the bed and see that Zavir wasn't anywhere to be found. I guess he already start his day while I am still sleeping.
I walk out of the tent and stretch my body and feel like something is coming to me. I look to my side and see something thrown to me.
I quickly catch the thing that was thrown at me. It was a bread loaf. I turn around and see Zavir was there, "Morning." Zavir said that as he began to throw a bottle of water to me as well.
I quickly catch the water bottle as well and told him, "Morning Zavir..."
Zavir then began to sit on his chair and eat his bread loaf. "You must have a good rest as you sleep like a log."
"Yes and thanks to you of course." I drank up the water, "Thought you already left to hunt some game."
"Not today, the last time I went hunting. I barely even caught anything, I think it's best for me to actually head to Thaumkr myself to resupply." Zavir said that.
"So you're tagging along? Why?" I ask that.
"Well I'm getting low on supplies as well and I'm gonna head to Thaumkr anyway. So why not join along, right?" Zavir said that as he laugh.
I just let out a sigh as I didn't really want someone else to join me. Though I guess having a guide is good too.
"So we're leaving right now?" I ask that question.
"Yes. Once you had your breakfast and packed everything up. We can leave immediately." Zavir said that as he began to eat his bread loaf.
I let out a sigh and grab my stuff and the bread loaf. As we then begin our journey to Thaumkr.
