Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: If possible, who doesn't want to be a hero?

The practical combat duel test on Friday, like a fated duel between two people, pitted Aisha against Yilin.

However, before that, there was a small interlude.

Every Thursday is Fusion Academy's routine Duel Monster summoning class.

Because it also involves monster summoning, last week it was replaced by the midterm summoning test; this week, it proceeded as usual.

Of course, without the luxurious magic power formula provided by the academy like during the midterm test.

Students rely solely on the basic summoning circle for magic power supply to summon Duel Monster cards.

Clearly just an ordinary weekly class, but Aisha was full of confidence.

The reason was none other than Ling Ling's existence.

Having Ling Ling by her side made Aisha much more confident about Duel Monster summoning, which she used to fear the most.

"This time, I absolutely won't just summon a trash monster. Watch me carefully, Mr. Ling Ling!"

Above Aisha's head, the rarely seen upright white ahoge fully expressed the girl's determination at this moment.

The final outcome... Aisha indeed managed it.

Just as she said, she didn't just summon one trash monster.

After two rare, consecutive summoning lights extinguished, two stupidly cute tofu block [Yoyo] floated in front of Aisha, subsequently transforming back into Duel Monster cards.

Ling Ling: "Congratulations on achieving it, summoning two trash monsters. The good news is you've gathered three [Yoyo] now, the bad news is I also don't understand what use gathering three of these things has."

According to the rules of Duel Monsters, a maximum of three copies of the same card can be included in a deck.

If Aisha wished, she could indeed stuff three [Yoyo] into her deck.

As for what use stuffing them would serve, that was a problem Ling Ling needed to consider.

"Sumimasen." The ahoge atop Aisha's head slowly drooped down.

Perhaps having lost the amplification from the terrifying magic power ritual of the midterm test, most students didn't achieve a breakthrough in this summoning class.

After all, it was just a weekly routine; Teacher Aileen had long since gotten used to it, calmly puffing on her cigarette roll while grading the students one by one.

And the student who received the highest score in this summoning class was unexpectedly not Kevin Set, and certainly not Aisha who summoned two blocks of tofu.

Perhaps due to a change in mentality, Yilin Austin summoned a Duel Monster stronger than the one during the midterm test.

[Elemental HERO Sparkman ★★★★ LIGHT][Warrior-Type ATK:1600 DEF:1400]

Among 4-star monsters, it belongs to the type with quite good attack and defense stat panels (limited to the academy's first year.)

However, compared to the stat panel, the name Elemental HERO felt more familiar to Ling Ling.

HERO decks are a perennially popular theme in Yu-Gi-Oh!; when Ling Ling first got into the game, he planned to start with a HERO deck.

"So HERO decks can also be summoned on the Elf Continent."

Like seeing someone else's child, after sighing, Ling Ling's thoughts returned to Aisha, who was idly bumping two [Yoyo] cards together.

"(o゚▽゚)o Hehe, Tofu Impact!"

"ε=(´ο`*) Sigh..."

"Mr. Ling Ling, why did you sigh?"

"No, I was just hiccuping."

"Do souls also hiccup?"

"Because you're too appetizing ( slang, meaning amusing/entertaining to watch, often while eating)."

"==?"

If possible, who wouldn't want to be a hero?

The next day——

Due to the overly shocking first-year practical combat test last week, this week again attracted many second-year students to come watch.

As for who everyone came to see, it was obvious without asking.

The first-year dead last girl, Aisha Yuna Carlos, defeated Kevin Set; was it coincidence or due to strength?

Most people couldn't hold back their curiosity and wanted to see another one of Aisha's duels.

Interestingly, Irena was also secretly running a betting pool, gambling on the outcome of Aisha's duel this time.

Because most second-year students bet on her losing, the payout odds for Aisha winning were terrifyingly high.

This also indirectly indicated that the crowd leaned more towards Aisha defeating Kevin being due to luck.

Suppressed by Kevin the entire time, yet used [Hand Exchange] to swap for Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and then completed a one-hit reversal.

Such a development, if not a coincidence, but a carefully planned strategy, would be too terrifying.

It must just be good luck.

Diablosky's psychology ——most people tend to deny facts beyond the scope of their own abilities.

"Xiao Ai has become popular recently too, gaining so many fans."

On the duel field, Yilin scanned the bustling crowd around and teased with a smile.

"Lin-chan, are you sure those people didn't come to laugh at me?"

"Even a comedian represents popularity, why not take this chance to debut?"

"Yada!" Aisha decisively refused: "Let's just duel seriously, Lin-chan."

"Oh? Duel seriously..."

Hearing this sentence, Yilin retracted her smile and her gaze that was looking around, her eyes gradually becoming serious.

"Xiao Ai, you couldn't possibly think you have a chance of beating me, right? Quite arrogant, little girl, clearly you haven't won against me even once since we were kids, pupu!"

"Bringing up past glories is a sign of cowardice; the outcome is only known after fighting."

A statement completely out of character for Aisha; without even needing to think much, just in that instant, Ling Ling had already gained control of Aisha's body through the Millennium Puzzle.

Yilin thought inwardly: "Here it comes again, it's like she's become a different person. Xiao Ai during duels is really strange... Since it happens to be my turn for the practical test with Xiao Ai, this is the chance! I must verify something through this duel."

While thinking, Yilin lifted her short skirt and took out her exclusive deck from the card box strapped to her slender, fair thigh.

Ling Ling's evaluation remained the same: this trend of strapping card boxes to the thigh was indeed very sexy.

Especially watching a beautiful girl of Yilin's level lift her short skirt to take out her deck up close, compared to controlling Aisha's body to take out the deck, it was a completely different feeling.

Aisha: "== Mr. Ling Ling, the duel is about to begin... You can move your gaze away from Lin-chan's body, from her thigh now, right?"

"Ahem!"

Ling Ling almost forgot that even when control of the body is exchanged, their vision is still shared.

"Elven Eye, Deck set!"

Aisha Yuna Carlos LP: 2000

VS

Yilin Austin LP: 2000

Duel——!

The Elven Heart on her arm lit up first, meaning Aisha goes first.

"I summon 1 monster in face-down defense position, then set one card in the Spell & Trap Zone, turn end."

Adopting the usual defensive opening, having familiarized himself with the card-flinging duel style of the Elf Continent, Ling Ling ended the first turn in just 5 seconds.

"After beating Kevin, Xiao Ai should have added quite a few new Spell/Trap cards, right? Really looking forward to it. My turn, draw!"

Yilin, starting her turn, waved her fingertip towards the field, flinging out a HERO card.

"I summon in Attack Position——[Elemental HERO Knospe]!"
