Chapter 3 - Awakening

Alurki's body fell, he closed his eyes. Although his plightful descent stopped. Opening his eyes, Alurki found himself in a white room. The room seemed to be made out of quartz. Although a green hue enveloped the room. A green orb appeared in the center of the room, startling Alurki. He heard a voice, which seemed to resonate to the core of his soul.

"Well, hello there little one. It seems you are in quite the predicament, you know being in the sky & all." The chuckles that followed sent a chill to the back of Alurki's neck. "What am I doing here, I was in the sky. Now I'm, wherever this is, I want answers." The green orb, beated. "Answers you will get, in due time boy. Although, what I have for you is a proposition. Your physical body is still falling, right now your head is frozen in time, when you exit this place. You will continue falling."

"So here is my proposition to you, if you sign a contract with me. I will grant you the ability of slow fall, it's that simple. You slowly fall, it will let you make it back onto the boat, or you could decline and plummet to your death. It's less of a proposition, rather a life of death decision."

"You may be wondering who my identity is, rightfully so. I've been making deals since you people were in caves with sticks, although it seems the current name your kindred has given me is. Zephire, the ruler of the winds."

Alurki found himself face to face, rather face to face with a glowing green orb. With this self proclaimed god of the winds. Although, if the orb; were to be speaking the truth. He has no choice but to accept, not that he could think of any other alternative when he's out of this, area of stopped time. He would plummet to his death, he nearly accepted that fact until being dragged here. "I accept."

The small green orb grew an arm. With a singular muscular arm, it snapped. A mirror appeared in its hands. When the mirror faced Alurki, he saw beneath his skin. His skull, fractured ribs, legs, his skeleton was on full display, along with his vital organs. "Stay still boy." The orb had a little chuckle, and snapped again.

An egregious pain writhed throughout his body. mainly located around his heart. In horror, or rather awe. A white heart appeared next to his own, pulsing madley. Veins & capillaries, grew out of his new heart. The pain was nigh unbearable, Alurki was on the verge of passing out. The veins grew, extending to his eye balls & feet. The white heart & veins slowly started pumping, suddenly turning green.

"I believe you were recently attacked by someone who received my blessing. There's nothing I can do about that, although I can tell you. Him & his crew have started sailing away. Stay alive, boy. I have granted you the preliminary tier of wind magic."

The room disappeared, Alurki was left in the air. Still waiting is an impending plummet. Alurki heard two beats, one more rapid than the other. His plummet turned into a gradual descent. A green hue lit up from his feet. A simple wind magic propulsion, it was enough to make it safely onto the boat.

When reaching the boat, the supplies had been ransacked, not to mention the hull still had a decently sized hole in it. The first thing he would need to fix is the hole, before finding safety. He looked around the boat for anything, noticing large whitish chunks. Behind him was an empty bag; labeled levithan bait. A large ripple started to form at the horizon, rapidly approaching.
