Chapter 6 - The Star

The world had turned its back on her.

Friends. Family.

Even the mirror didn't recognize her anymore.

But in the middle of her grief—

when nights grew heavier and days felt hollow—

there was one thing that kept her from falling apart.

Him.

Not someone she knew.

Not someone who knew her.

But someone who saw her—through a screen.

He was a star.

Not the loud, flashing kind who walked red carpets.

But someone quieter. Softer.

A face people loved for his honesty.

A voice people listened to because it felt like home.

He shared glimpses of his life—

his thoughts, his struggles, his slow mornings,

his quiet victories.

And somehow, in those ordinary moments,

he lit a spark in her.

She'd watch his videos late at night,

listen to his words while walking home under empty streetlights,

and read his captions like they were written for her.

He didn't know she existed.

But that never mattered.

Because he smiled with the kind of softness that reminded her what kindness looked like.

He spoke with honesty, raw and imperfect—

like he, too, had known pain… and made peace with it.

Every time her hands trembled,

every time her thoughts turned dark,

every time she whispered, "I can't do this anymore…"—

his words echoed back,

"You're stronger than you think."

And somehow… she believed it.

He became her secret anchor.

The reason she woke up.

The reason she still dreamed, just a little.

The reason she smiled—

even if it lasted only for seconds.

Because sometimes, it takes just one soul to remind another:

"You matter. Even if no one tells you."

And though he didn't know her name,

he had unknowingly saved her more times than she could count.
