Chapter 7 - the passing days of harmony...

[Scene: Passing Days – Myrathis High School and Home] The days blend into weeks, and life begins to return to normal. Myrathis High is as lively as ever—students chatter in the hallways, club activities thrive, and the air hums with the usual energy of a bustling school. Jeremy slips into his daily routine, quietly attending classes, sometimes joining Jace, Amara, and Leo in the courtyard during lunch.

At home, the eerie events surrounding the board game fade into the background. The whispers are gone, the glowing symbols no longer haunt Jeremy's thoughts, and even Jack's chaotic presence seems like a distant memory. The once unsettling silence of the house now feels comforting—a calm Jeremy hadn't realized he missed.

[Scene: Jeremy's Room – Afternoon] Jeremy sits at his desk, engrossed in his homework. The soft light from his desk lamp warms the room, and the gentle rustling of leaves outside his window provides a soothing rhythm. His textbooks and notes are neatly arranged, and for the first time in a while, he feels a sense of control over his surroundings.

Jeremy (thinking):Maybe it really was all just a dream. Or maybe my mind made it seem bigger than it was.

He shakes his head with a faint chuckle, trying to focus on solving a math problem. The memory of Jack demanding cookies still makes him roll his eyes, but there's a hint of amusement in it now.

[Scene: School – Lunch Break in the Courtyard] Jeremy laughs softly as Jace animatedly tells a story about accidentally spilling an entire tray of juice on a teacher during his first week of school. Leo strums a few chords on a guitar while Amara sketches in her notebook.

Jace: "I swear, her face was redder than the cranberry juice! I thought I was done for."

Amara:[smirking] "How do you manage to get into so much trouble without even trying?"

Leo:[grinning] "It's a talent. A rare and annoying talent."

Jeremy smiles, feeling at ease in their company. It's a far cry from his first day at Myrathis High, when just the thought of talking to anyone felt overwhelming.

[Scene: Jeremy's Home – Evening] The soft glow of the sunset filters through the windows as Jeremy helps his mom set the table for dinner. His dad hums a tune from the living room while flipping through a book.

Elena:[smiling] "It's good to see you like this, Jeremy. You've been so much more relaxed lately."

Jeremy:[shrugging lightly] "I guess things are finally normal. No weird board games or glowing symbols to worry about."

Allen chuckles from the living room.

Allen: "That's how it should be kiddo. Just focus on school and enjoy yourself."

As the days pass, the strange and chaotic events of the past fade further into the recesses of memory. Life moves on, and the once vivid fears become nothing more than fleeting thoughts—stories to laugh about and perhaps embellish over time. Yet, in the stillness of certain nights, when the house is silent, and shadows play tricks on the mind, Jeremy sometimes wonders… what really happened?
