Chapter 26 - The unknown pressans

He stood over the corpses, blood still steaming on the cold ground.

"I need a proper weapon now…" he muttered, eyes narrowing.

With a flick of his hand, he commanded, "System, sell all monster corpses. Keep their claws, teeth, and skin—they'll be useful."

Ding!

[Congratulations, Host. You have successfully sold the corpses. You receive 10,000,000 System Coins.]

A grin formed on his face. "Let's see what kind of weapons you're hiding, system."

He opened the store—his eyes drawn to something sinister.

Item: Devil Dark Dual Sword

Type: Dual Blade

Cost: 10,000,000 Coins

"A dual blade, huh?" He paused. Thoughts swirled in his mind—speed, lethality, style… or risk. But then, his eyes gleamed.

"System, buy this sword."

Ding!

[Congratulations. You have received the Devil Dark Dual Sword.]

He unsheathed it slowly. Black metal, pulsing with eerie red veins. It felt alive.

"Ohh… Let's see what you can do."

Driven by hunger for strength, he dove deeper into the floor—far beyond where light reached. He summoned his creatures to scout ahead, while he walked the path himself. For one hour… nothing. Silence.

His patience broke.

"Fine then…" he muttered, letting out a wave of his dark energy. It rippled like a storm.

And then—

They came.

Dozens. Hundreds. Drawn by the scent of death.

He smiled—dark and cold. "Looks like I've set a trap for the fish."

He summoned them all—his soldiers, and his most terrifying ally—the Dark Dragon. "Let's see your strength. Don't hold back."

His army surged forward, fearless, relentless. The monsters never stood a chance. Blood sprayed. Screams echoed.

But then… a beast appeared. Strong. Twisted. Laughing while tearing through his summons like they were toys.

He checked its stats.

[Rank: S++]

"…So that's why."

"Retreat!" he commanded. His summons vanished into shadows.

Now it was his turn.

He reached into the void—pulling out his new weapon for the first time.

The Devil Dark Dual Sword shimmered in his hands.

A grin stretched across his face. "Time to feed."

He dashed forward, slicing with a roar. The blade severed the creature's hand midair. The monster shook with fear, trying to flee, regenerating.

Too slow.

He grabbed its head. "Run? After seeing me?"

With one brutal motion, he tore its skull clean from its body.

"Pathetic," he whispered. "A waste of time."

He raised his hand—pulling the dark souls from the slain, converting them into energy, absorbing it deep into his veins.

But then—

The ground trembled.

A pressure unlike anything he had felt before crushed down on him. Heavy. Demonic.

"What… the hell… is this…?"

His breath caught. A new darkness had arrived. Something that could kill even him.
