Chapter 19 - chapter 19

"Boola Clan Bloodline?"

Caspian's mind stirred. Of course, he knew about the Boola Clan. This ancient race originated from the Panlong Universe. The main character there, Auron, had ultimately faced off against a formidable member of the ancient Boola Clan in the final battle—a battle where Auron had been driven to the brink of despair.

The Boola Clan wasn't just known for their terrifying physical defenses. What made them truly enviable was their innate ability—the transformation of their souls.

They could turn one person into two.

In the language of the Swallowed Star Universe, this was called cloning. But it wasn't just any clone—it was an extremely unique and secretive technique.

The Boola clansmen could separate their personalities, desires, and thoughts into two distinct beings. Everything they wished to keep—ambition, focus, clarity—they gathered into one. All the darker sides—greed, evil, lust—they discarded.

Then they transformed their soul, splitting it in two. After that, their body followed suit, also dividing into two fully functional individuals.

In this way, one soul could calmly pursue research and cultivation, while the other indulged in all desires, fighting, killing, and seeking pleasure.

Since the two souls no longer interfered with each other, both could reach new heights, going further on the path of the strong.

"However, in the Panlong Universe, once a divine clone dies, it's truly dead—irreversible," Caspian pondered silently. "But in the Swallowed Star Universe, as long as the clone's soul isn't destroyed or controlled, it can usually be reformed from energy after death. So… how will this Boola Clan technique manifest here?"

After studying the Boola Clan Bloodline information, Caspian shifted his attention to another item that had appeared from the white blind box—a slightly smaller but otherwise identical blue blind box.

His consciousness hovered over the blue blind box, quickly pulling up its description.

This blue blind box, much like the white one, offered rewards after the mission was completed—but the rewards inside were significantly more valuable. Of course, the mission was much more difficult too:Mission:

Kill 100 Marquis-level Undyings / 10 King-level Undyings / 1 Universe Venerable!Caspian couldn't help but click his tongue.

"Good grief, they already think Undying Gods are weak, huh? Jumping straight to Marquis-level Undying as the minimum requirement!"

With Caspian's current strength, he could only take down a Marquis-level Undying if he used his Heavy Treasure—the 'Black Flame Sword.' But using such a weapon in battle would instantly draw the attention and pursuit of the entire Outer Territory Battlefield's powerhouses.

That was a death sentence, and Caspian wasn't about to make such a suicidal move.

His consciousness returned to the 'Boola Clan Bloodline' floating next to the blue blind box.

"Let's load this bloodline and see how it goes. I hope you don't disappoint me!"

With a firm mental command, he said:

"Replace my bloodline!"

Pain. Unimaginable, soul-tearing pain! Caspian's entire being was engulfed by agony as if every fiber of his body was being ripped apart.

The process of replacing one's bloodline involved altering every single cell—truly no different from being slowly sliced to death.

Even as a powerful Marquis-level Undying God, in this moment of transformation, Caspian was no stronger than an ordinary mortal facing torture.

His teeth clenched tightly until blood seeped from his gums, dripping down the corners of his lips.

Minute by minute, second by second, time crawled forward.

Inside Caspian's body, every cell, every strand of muscle, every inch of bone was reforged—strengthened by the invading Boola Clan bloodline.

His Undying Divine Power pulsed, strained, and then expanded as the transformation spread through him.

At last, after what felt like an eternity, the bloodline replacement concluded.

Inside the spaceship's main cabin, Caspian lay sprawled out on the floor in the shape of a large 'X.'

Sweat had soaked his clothing and formed puddles on the metallic floor beneath him.

With a heavy exhale, he forced himself up. Flames suddenly erupted from his body, evaporating all moisture and leaving the cabin dry once more.

Breathing hard, Caspian began checking the changes that had occurred within him.

First and most obvious—he had shrunk. Not in age, but physically, his body had become smaller.

The Boola Clan, after all, weren't native to the Swallowed Star Universe. During the bloodline replacement, adaptations had been made to conform to this universe's rules.

Thus, the ancient Boola Clan of the Panlong Universe had now become a specialized lifeform within the Swallowed Star Universe—a new kind of Boola Clan.

His life gene level had skyrocketed—now at 100 times the standard level!

Even more incredible, he had gained the innate secret technique known as the 'Seven Emotions and Six Desires Body.'

His Undying Divine Power wasn't just larger in quantity—it was now enhanced in quality a hundredfold.

However, while the quality had increased, the overall volume had shrunk, leading to his body physically reducing in size.

Caspian sighed.

There was no immediate solution to this shrinkage. He could either draw divine power slowly from the origin land to rebuild his divine body or use expensive treasures specifically for restoring divine bodies.

"Ugh… drawing power slowly? I don't have the patience for that," Caspian muttered, shaking his head. "Guess I'll have to return to base, sell off my current loot, and trade for body-recovery treasures to get back to full strength as quickly as possible."

With his strength checked, Caspian turned his focus to the innate secret technique—the 'Seven Emotions and Six Desires Body.'

This technique allowed him to create a clone with the same memories as his main body, but with a life level one-tenth of his own.

Using it, he could transfer all unwanted emotions and desires into the clone—anger, greed, lust, vanity—leaving his true self pure and focused.

And unlike the Boola Clan from the Panlong Universe, his clone could be recreated even after death, perfectly aligned with the Swallowed Star Universe's rules.

Of course, there was a catch.

If the clone were soul-controlled or soul-killed, the main body would suffer the same fate.

"So, that's the trade-off," Caspian nodded. "But it makes sense. It's been adapted to the Swallowed Star Universe's mechanics."

Interestingly, not only could the clone be reborn from the main body, but if the main body died, it could be regenerated from the surviving clone.

Meaning that, in the future, anyone who wanted to truly eliminate Caspian would have to destroy both his main body and clone at the same time—or obliterate his soul outright.

"Let's try this out. Time to create my first clone!" Caspian grinned and activated the technique.

As he began, Caspian mentally sorted through his emotions and desires.

"Bloodlust? No, I don't need that."

"Lust? Absolutely not."

"Greed? No, out."

"Thirst for knowledge? Yes, that stays."

"Vanity? Wrath? Fear? Evil? All of that—yours now."

Slowly, using the technique, he gathered every unwanted emotion and wrapped them in strands of divine power. Gradually, they separated from his core and began forming a shape in front of him.

The figure that emerged looked almost identical to Caspian, but there was a dark, dangerous aura about it. Its eyes gleamed with malice, and its smile was twisted.

"Jie Jie Jie…!" the clone cackled with an unsettling grin.

Meanwhile, Caspian's main body remained utterly calm—his heart like still water.

"A clone containing all my negative emotions and desires… no wonder even its smile feels so sinister," he thought.

Caspian, also known by his moniker the 'Bloodclad Marquis,' had always been infamous for his bloodlust. But this clone? This being was even more evil, more bloodthirsty—it was like an incarnation of chaos itself.

Perhaps, Caspian mused, he would need to adopt a new title for this version of himself: 'Blood Sea King' instead of mere 'Blood Sea Marquis.'

A sea of blood, boundless and malevolent.

The clone's life gene level was 10 times that of ordinary life, giving it strength that had just touched the threshold of King-level power.

Naturally, Caspian's main body was still stronger—his combat ability already matching that of a Beginner King-level being.

But now, with this new secret technique, the path ahead was clear:

He was no longer just a single warrior. He was now a force of duality—his calm, focused self, and his reckless, bloodthirsty clone.

Together, they would carve out a new legend across the universe.
