Chapter 6 - The Talk show

The listening session finally ends and everyone in the room was shocked at what they just witnessed. A 15 track album that sounded so good it made their next job hard. Rachel with a git of gratitude couldn't help but smile. "There you have it. Now, I have to aske you guys. With all the song's you've heard on Landon's album, what should be his second single following Rebirth?"

Rachel's question hung in the air as the team began to discuss their favorite tracks from the album. Emma spoke up first, "I'm still in shock that Landon managed to create an album with so many hit songs in just three months. I mean, 'East Side' with Selena Gomez is a huge hit, and 'Dusk Till Dawn' with Sia is a masterpiece."

Another team member chimed in, "And don't forget 'Leave the Door Open' with Bruno Mars - it's like they were meant to collaborate. I'm blown away by Landon's production skills." The team continued to gush about the album, analyzing each track and praising Landon's talent. Some popular opinions for the second single included¹:

"East Side" with Selena Gomez: A catchy, upbeat track that showcases Landon's ability to craft a hit pop song. "Dusk Till Dawn" with Sial: A hauntingly beautiful song that highlights Landon's vocal range and emotional delivery.

"Leave the Door Open" with Bruno Mars: A soulful, retro-inspired track that features Landon's smooth vocals and Bruno Mars' signature style. Rachel nodded thoughtfully, taking in the team's feedback. "These are all great options, but we need to think about what will resonate with our audience and fit Landon's brand."

Rachel's question hung in the air, awaiting the team's response. Before anyone could suggest a song, she turned to Landon and asked, "What about you, Landon? Which song do you think would make a great second single?" Landon smiled knowingly, his eyes gleaming with a hint of secrecy. "I think 'Shape of You' would be an excellent choice," he said confidently.

The team looked at him in surprise, some nodding in agreement while others seemed puzzled. Emma spoke up, "Shape of You? That's an interesting choice. What makes you think that one would work well as a single?" Landon leaned back, his expression calm and collected. "I just have a feeling about it. The melody, the rhythm, the lyrics – everything comes together in a way that resonates with listeners."

Rachel raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Landon's insight. "Well, it's definitely a strong contender. Let's consider the team's suggestions and weigh our options." As the discussion continued, it became clear that Landon's choice wasn't just a random pick. He seemed to know something the others didn't, a secret only he was privy to. Despite the team's reservations, Landon's confidence in "Shape of You" remained unwavering.

As the week goes by, Landon had been invited to a talk show to talk about his musical journey, life as a member of Midnight fusion and life now as a solo artist. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. My name is Brittany Moon and with me today is a boy who has taken Canadian music by storm. Please help me in welcoming the newest artists on the block, Landon Asher."

The studio audience erupted in applause as Landon walked onto the stage, flashing a bright smile. Brittany Moon, the charismatic host, greeted him warmly. "Welcome to the show, Landon! It's fantastic to have you here. I have to correct myself, though - you're not just taking Canadian music by storm; you're making waves globally with your unique sound." Landon chuckled, taking his seat. "Thanks for having me, Brittany. I'm excited to share my journey with everyone."

Brittany dove right into the conversation.

"Let's start with your background. You've had quite the journey in the music industry. How did your passion for music begin?" Landon leaned in, reflecting on his upbringing. "I've been exposed to various genres and artists from a young age, which sparked my interest in music and performance. I've always been drawn to creative expression." He continued. "I Started making music at 12 or 13, initially creating rap music. Than i later shifted focus to other genres, experimenting with different sounds that led me to form Midnight fusion with the other guy's. And boom here we are. "

"Speaking of midnight fusion, what led you to leaving the group just as things started picking up there? Was it fights with the other members or with management? Or did you feel like, you know what? I'm ready to branch off on my own." She asked As the spotlight shone upon Landon's countenance, a thoughtful expression danced across his features. "The decision to leave Midnight Fusion was not one I took on my part, they took it for me and i don'thold it againstthem. If they think i was killing their momentumthan that'sfine with me." he began, his voice measured and contemplative.

"It was a culmination of factors, really. As the group's popularity grew, so did the pressures and expectations." He paused, collecting his thoughts before continuing with a hint of determination in his voice, Landon concluded, "Them taking me out was actually a blessing In it's own way. Not only did I find myself as a artists but I did as a person, I got to remember my talents and because I did I produce and wrote a fire album(stole). I somehow landed big collaborations on my first album with amazing people like Sia, Selena Gomez, the beautiful Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars."

Landon's smile grew, a glimmer of excitement dancing in his eyes. "I'm eager to share my music with the world, to connect with fans on a deeper level. My solo work will be a reflection of my true self, unbridled and unapologetic."
