Chapter 24 - The First. And The Last.

The boy grinned, his earlier serious expression replaced by playful curiosity. "So, trying to figure out who created the Supreme God is like trying to catch smoke with my hands?"

Elena chuckled, a warm, comforting sound. "A very apt analogy, my dear. Some things are simply beyond our grasp. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't strive to understand the Supreme God, even if we can never fully comprehend him. It means we should approach him with humility and reverence."

She paused, stroking his hair with a gentle hand. "Think of it like the ocean. You can study the waves, the tides, the creatures that live within it. You can learn about its currents and depths. But can you ever truly know the ocean in its entirety? Can you ever truly hold all its secrets?"

The boy shook his head, mesmerized by the analogy.

"The Supreme God is like that ocean," Elena continued. "Vast, unending, and full of wonders that are beyond our imagining. We can explore, we can learn, we can be inspired, but we must always remember that we are just small boats sailing on its surface. Our understanding will always be limited, but our awe can be boundless."

He leaned into his mother's embrace, the warmth of her love and the weight of her wisdom settling upon him. "So, instead of trying to solve the unsolvable, we should focus on... what?"

Elena smiled. "On living a life worthy of the Supreme God's creation. On being kind, compassionate, and just. On appreciating the beauty and wonder that he has made. On striving to become better versions of ourselves, always reaching towards the light."

She pulled him closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. "And on never losing our sense of wonder, my son. Because the universe is full of mysteries, and the greatest mystery of all is the Supreme God himself."

The boy closed his eyes, feeling a sense of peace and understanding wash over him. He might not know the answer to his original question, but he had learned something far more profound. He had learned about humility, reverence, and the boundless beauty of the unknown. And he had learned that sometimes, the greatest wisdom comes not from finding answers, but from embracing the mystery. He nestled into his mother's arms, feeling safe and loved, and ready to explore the vast and wondrous universe, content with the mysteries it held.
