As such, as soon I got the opportunity, I turned around and raced through the gates.
Suddenly, a pair of hands wrapped around my waist.
"You -"
She tackled me from behind.
I stumbled forward, hitting the ground with a silent 'Thud!'
The impact caused me to wince slightly.
I looked back and saw Ivory staring at me with a teary gaze.
"I remember seeing you at the Zahara Clan. Please... help me," she pleaded, weeping profusely.
Shit!
I attempted to slam my elbow into her shoulder blades, but surprisingly, she dodged.
I twisted, but she clung to me like a predator. Her legs wrapped around mine. Arms around my neck. I tried to push her off. But she tightened her grip.
SHIT!!
Get off me, Delilah!
I decided to crawl into the boy's dorm.
Though it would be problematic if anyone knew that I was with her at this time, it was much less risky than remaining right here in this position.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps closing in, resonating from outside the gate.
Suddenly, Ivory screamed.
"HELP! HE'S MOLESTING ME!" Her profusely weeping continued. This time, her lips parted open as she wailed loudly, and her nose produced snorts that could rival that of a toddler.
SHIITT!!!
As though on cue, the footsteps hastened and finally halted at the entrance of the gate.
I turned back to look at the three brown-skinned young men in the Grand Avalon Uniforms.
Behind them was a fair-skinned man in his late twenties. He was wearing padded trousers, a white long-sleeve shirt with a vambrace on his right lower arm, and a harness bracer on his left arm. His straps were fastened around the left side of his shirt over his attire.
On his legs were black boots of a similar quality to that of the students.
I instantly recognised him.
Mr Fredric.
The Magical Swordsman Path instructor for the first-year students.
As they saw the scene unfolding within the room, their expressions morphed into a mix of shock, displeasure, hate, and anger.
Suddenly, a wave of crimson, tinged with gold aura surged from Fredric.
It enveloped his entire body.
Immediately, a sense of heaviness and oppression descended upon my body.
I couldn't breathe properly.
"What is going on here?" Fredric growled, his voice filled with venom.
Ivory wailed louder, her voice shaking. "He dragged me... I didn't want... he... he..."
At that moment, a thought emerged in my mind -
I have been framed.
"You creep, get off of her!"
"What despicable act are you doing in public?"
Soon after Fredric asked me the question, the young men lunged at us and removed Ivory from me.
Then, they assaulted me, throwing punches and kicks to my face and the side of my body.
I gritted my teeth and took it, curling up on the floor. Their strikes hurt, but not as much as the humiliation.
If it wasn't an awakener, I would have broken several bones from their strikes.
Meanwhile, Fredric let them. His narrowed gaze shifted to Ivory, who was still weeping profusely in the arms of one of the boys.
Then, he settled on me again with an expression of disgust as though one were staring at the filthiest creature on earth—a maggot.
After one minute, he intervened. "Enough!"
They stopped.
He hauled me up by the collar.
I couldn't resist.
At this point, the disturbance had drawn the attention of several students in the male dorm building.
Their male dorm room lights flickered on.
They were peering down from their windows, observing the scene curiously.
I clenched my teeth together and lowered my head, unable to meet their gazes. I did this partly because I was ashamed and also because I needed to think of a way to get out of my current situation.
My reputation was at stake if I didn't.
Nevertheless, this was a well-thought-out plan.
I was dragged out from the male dorm compound through the gates under the questioning gaze of the students.
Ivory and the three boys followed behind us.
We arrived at the administrative building, a ten-story glass-panelled building that served as the workspace for the first-year instructors.
At a distance was an enormous residential twelve-story building.
We entered a glass-panelled room, which featured an office chair and a desk against the glass. A small round table with several cushions surrounded it. Shelves decorated with awards, books and other collectables and a fridge lined the side of the walls.
Fredric threw me into the chair.
Then he walked towards his desk, leaned against it, folded his arms, and stared at me.
I propped myself up to sit upright.
Ivory sat beside me. Her eyes were red and puffy.
One of the boys offered her water.
She sipped it, sniffing dramatically.
"I hope that you can provide a reasonable explanation about what we have just witnessed, Ezekiel," he stated, his tone sharp, his expression cold.
"We all saw what happened! This loser was trying to lay his hands on the Ivory!" one of the young men shouted. "If we weren't there at that moment and were drawn by the noise, then... then.... he might have had his way with her. He should be outright expelled from the academy!"
"Yes, this creep needs to be punished and expelled! He is a disgrace to the Grand Avalon Academy," another said.
I was sure that he would have spat on the ground if it weren't for the fact that we were in the instructor's office.
It would fit the entire theme of their act.
"All of you should keep quiet!! " Fredric shouted, his expression and tone filled with irritation and anger.
"Regardless of what has transpired, as an instructor of the Grand Avalon Academy, I must ensure that every single detail is carefully scrutinised before making a decision. There is certainly an explanation for what had happened. So keep quiet while I hear from the two of them."
"You can get out of my office if you want to comply."
His voice was cold and threatening.
