To say that the atmosphere was tense would be an understatement, Sundrin and Cazur continued to glare at each other like some fiery beasts as the others watched on in excitement.
The pressure released by the two kids was almost palpable, and even the guards whistled in admiration, impressed by the power possessed by both of them at such a young age.
Suddenly Sundrin pulled out a stone arrow out of his quiver and nocked it onto his bow swiftly flinging it towards his opponent.
But Cazur wasn't one to back down, he quickly smashed his right foot down onto the ground causing a booming sound as he lunged forward with all his might.
The arrow and the boy quickly approached each other and as soon as he was close enough Cazur slashed his sword down diagonally.
Like a twig the arrow instantly broke apart as Cazur didn't stop his advance and plunged further towards Sundrin. The sword he held in his right hand suddenly lit up with fiery flames as he continued forward with a beastly expression.
Sundrin immediately pulled the string of the bow back and his eyes narrowed in focus.
Flames erupted from his hand holding back the string as a blazing arrow quickly formed strung on the bow, like the wind he launched the arrow aiming for his enemy.
Not at all flustered Cazur briskly moved forward, but just then his eyes widened as the arrow approached him and split into five flaming arrows aiming at different parts of his body.
Quickly he pushed his left leg forward and stopped his momentum, then he breathed in a large amount of air as his hand holding the sword moved back and then thrust forward like a frog jumping.
A barrage of rapid thrusts was immediately initiated as Cazur hit all of the arrows directly at their head, destroying one arrow with one thrust.
The booming sounds of the arrows exploding rang out as Cazur quickly dealt with all of the arrows, and even though the explosions caused some injuries he was mostly unhurt.
As soon as he was done dealing with the arrows he swung into motion without taking any rest.
Sundrin's face darkened as he also hastily pulled the string and aimed at Cazur who was already upon him and swinging his sword down to cut him in half.
A fire arrow quickly hurled towards Cazur and due to the close proximity there was no way to dodge.
*boom!*
A loud bang was released as the flaming sword and arrow collided. Both Sundrin and Cazur were immediately pushed back due to the explosion and had to retreat a few steps before they got a hold of their momentum.
As soon as he could stand straight again Cazur pushed all his energy into the flaming sword he was holding and slashed forward releasing a flaming arc towards Sundrin's direction.
Sundrin quickly rolled to the side narrowly avoiding the attack but by then Cazur had already approched him and thrust his sword forward aiming for his neck.
Sundrin's instincts quickly warned him of the impending danger as he quickly swung his head to the side and the sword just scrapped past his cheek causing a small wound.
But before Cazur could retract his sword and make another move, Sundrin smashed his face against his opponent's causing craking noises out of Cazur's nose.
Feeling the immense pain coming from his nose Cazur back away a few steps feeling dizzy as he felt the blood trickling down his nose.
Yet before he could even regain his senses Sundrin swung his leg like a whip landing a crushing blow onto his stomach causing his eyes to widen in pain.
For a few moments Cazur felt like his ability to breathe had been taken away from him as he gasped for breath, but Sundrin indifferent of this took out his dagger and plunged forward.
The dagger moved with great agility and soon was about to plunge itself into Cazur, when suddenly his left hand blurred and grabbed the dagger.
Looking up Cazur smiled maliciously even though his hand was bleeding. Sundrin having a bad feeling quickly let go of the dagger and was about to retreat when Cazur raised his sword and slashed it down.
Sundrin could only grit his teeth and retreat as he felt the metallic taste of blood in his mouth as a deep diagonal long wound appeared on his chest.
Blood seeped out of the wound like flowing water and the only thing Sundrin could do was step back and fall on one of his knees clutching his chest in pain.
Time seemed to come to a stop as Sundrin felt his own hallow breathing.
His head looked up and saw the smiling face of Cazur, at that moment…. something just snapped.
His face contorted in rage as he got back up on his feet ignoring the pain, strength seemed to rush through his veins and he started exuding an aura like that of a hungry beast.
Survath was looking at the battle from above on a high ground when his eyes twitched a bit as he frowned, for a split second he felt like Sundrin's already red eyes gave of an even more fierce crimson glow.
Sundrin unawre of this quickly raised his body and aimed at the sky. Nocking a fire arrow onto the wooden bow, he swiftly let it fly above.
When the fire arrow reached the peak of it's hight and could go no further it started descending down onto Cazur who stood beneath it, but it wasn't just a single arrow anymore.
It quickly split into ten arrows and headed towards the already pale Cazur.
Quickly slashing his sword even though he was tired and beat up Cazur launched another flaming arc towards the arrows coming towards him.
Unfortunately for him although the arc managed to destroy five arrows the other five still came hurling in his direction.
Swiftly he moved his head doging one of them and then moved to the side dodging another one, but in the process a arrow pierced through his thig and exploded causing immense pain.
Gritting his teeth he moved again dodging the second last arrow, but just as he was abou to dodge again he felt his thigh ache in pain and the last arrow landed on his left arm quickly exploding.
Red veins seemed to pop in his eyes as he held back the scream and fell upon both of his knees.
Before he could get up though Sundrin was already upon him. Sundrin swings his left leg and kicks Cazur in the face hurling his entire body back.
Cazur tumbles back like a rag doll, tasting the blood inside his mouth and the smell of the ground in his nose.
But he was still a warrior, as sson as he stoped he pushed his battered body up with the help of his arms and looked up at Sundrin.
Just as he was about to retaliate, he saw that Sundrin had once again strung a flaming arrow onto his bow and launched it in his direction.
Quickly Cazur swung his swordto defend himself but the flaming arrow suddenly turned into the shape of a sword and rushed forward in his direction.
*BOOM!*
Another booming sound echoed out, this one being even more intense than the last one.
Cazur was once again flung away, but this time he landed on the cool stream water making a splashing sound, his wounds stung as if bees were biting onto every corner of his body.
Sundrin rushed forward and took up the dagger that had fallen onto the ground, and then jumped into the water causing another series of splashing sounds.
*Swing~*
Sundrin threw the Dagger directly towards Cazur and it flew across the strem.
As soon as he noticed the dagger flying towards him Cazur tried to move his body against the stream.
Unfortunately he wasn't able to dodge in time and the dagger plunged itself into his left shoulder,
"Ahhhh!!"
Finally not being able to take it anymore he screamed in agony, but Sundrin approached him with his face filled with unbridled fury.
No one knew what had happened to the always kind Sundrin, but they all looked on his horror as Sundrin moved closer and closer to Cazur.
Cazur in a panic threw his sword at Sundrin, but rather than hitting him it hit his bow that he was holding his his right hand, causing his grip to lossen on it slightly.
And as soon as his grip loosened the stream swept away the bow.
Sundrin grew even angrier and approached Cazur forcing his way against the stream.
As soon as he was near the pale and scared Cazur he grabbed him by the collar and threw him back to the ground slamming his body against the ground.
By now Sundrin's eyes were practically glowing and he quickly got out of the stream all soaked.
Cazur tried getting up and saying he gave up but before he could do so, Sundrin plunged at him and kicked him in the face when he was down sending him flying back.
Cazur once again rolls across the ground and soon stops after a while, but Sundrin wasn't done yet, he quickly lunged and was on top of his opponent in seconds.
*BAM**BAM**BAM*
Ruthlessly hye launched a barrage of punches not even thinking of holding back, for some reason Cazur injuring him had hurt his pride and had ignited a flame of wrath within him.
He continued on and on, the sounds of the beating echoed out and all the kids gulped in unison.
Cazur's face had by now turned into a bloody mess but Sundrinw asn't showing any signs of stopping,
"Enough"
Sundrin swung his head back to look at the third elder with his glowing crimson red eyes.
Survath frowned as he looked at his student, something about him gave off the feeling of a savage and hungry beast.
But he didn't back down, he looked at Sundrin with a cold expression and immediately the anger in Sundrin's eyes was replaced by fear when he felt the pressure weighing down on him.
As time passed, silence remained and everything seemed to go still, the pressure continued to increase before Sundrin felt like he couldn't even breathe anymore.
Finally seeing that the wild nature had subsided Survath pulled back his pressure.
Sundrin immediately fell upon his knees choking on his own saliva as he vomited out everything had eaten this morning.
Only after a while did he look up with tear filled eyes and say,
"S-sorry sir, i-i…"
Survath just nodded with his usual expressionless face, and told the guards to move the injured Cazur.
Although fights were common amongst the kids, this was a particularly bloody fight which made even the top four shiver.
Survath moved along and left, inside he was feeling trepidation as just now he felt something very strange from Sundrin…. Something very primal and ruthless,
"Whatever i will think about it latter"
He said to himself shaking his head as he continued on his way, and just like that the trial under the waterfall came to an end.
