Ye Shen scratched the back of his head, feeling a little bit embarrassed as Bai Ning glanced at him impishly.
"We are not in that kind of relationship just yet… Besides, I don't think that dating someone or being in a romantic relationship with someone is my forte."
Bai Ning chuckled joyously. "You may deny it however you want, but your eyes can't deceive me, Ye Shen. I can tell that you admire her, no?"
"It's hard to describe, unfortunately. But, I'll treasure this moment while it lasts." Ye Shen shrugged his shoulders, he didn't want to engage in a lengthy argument with her.
"Well, anyhow, I'm glad that she found something that is dear to her." Bai Ning remarked. "By the way… I have compiled some footage of Li Feng's fights. I want to know your opinion and your approach to fight against him."
"Sure, why not?"
Afterward, the two headed to the lounge area where the big TV screen was situated. Bai Ning replayed the footage after a few swipes in the air.
As the walk out music blared in the building, Li Feng's figure appeared on the screen, he walked out toward the cage while lifting the golden belt. He has chiseled jawline, great posture, and more importantly, a handsome face that would make any maiden fall in love with him.
His crew followed suit, they were confident faces as Li Feng climbed into the cage. This was the fight which made him into the X-One Featherweight Champion at the age of 23. Although X-One was one league below UMT, it was a prestigious title, especially for someone who came from a middle class family.
Bai Ning suddenly quipped, giving him the context of this fight. "Bear in mind, this fight was before Li Feng underwent a complete transformation yet he's already a highly skilled and very fast fighter. Even the slow motion camera couldn't keep up with his movements."
Ye Shen subsequently changed his demeanor. Unbeknown to everyone, Ye Shen had channelled his Yang Qi into his eyes to capture everything even to the tiniest detail.
On the other hand, Li Feng's opponent was a tad taller than him since he came from overseas. Many people hate to admit it, but natural genes and heredity played a big role in fighter's growth and bone density.
The announcer soon climbed into the cage, introducing each fighter and their professional record.
After which, the referee stepped in, stating the rules briefly before he officially started the fight. Shortly after, the bell rang, marking the beginning of the first round.
Li Feng opened the fight with a light tap on his opponent's head. Anybody who sees this playback would think that Li Feng completely missed the target. However, his unassuming strike connected beautifully, hitting his opponent right on the temple bone.
Worse yet, Li Feng accurately hit the trigeminal nerve. He knew that his opponent's heads were not modified with augmentation just yet. He deliberately hit the area to cause severe pain and disorientation.
From this moment onward, everything went smoothly just like planned. Li Feng delivered strike after strike with a hundred percent accuracy. Just his stage name, Li Feng ultimately crushed his opponent despite the size difference.
Eventually, Li Feng won the fight by the second round. He was subsequently crowned as the undisputed Featherweight Champion of X-One Fighting Championship.
The crowd erupted, cheering boisterously to celebrate the new champion.
One of the commentators stepped into the cage, interviewing the young champion after such a glorious win.
"Brother, Li Feng! What an astounding performance of the night! There's rumors which say that you are going to be transferred into UMT. Will you please give us some insight about that!"
Li Feng smirked joyfully while still holding the belt around his waist.
"I mean no offense to X-One Championship. But this stage is so small for me! I need a bigger venue, give me a freaking stadium and let's fill the whole place. See you next year in the UMT!"
Suddenly, Bai Ning turned off the screen. She had enough of Li Feng's blatant arrogance.
"There you have it." She rested her back against the sofa. "Did you notice anything?"
"I saw everything."
"Pardon?" Bai Ning blinked a few times, utterly flummoxed.
"His hand movement was not that difficult to follow. Most humans relying their eyes to predict the trajectory of an incoming attack, they would evade as soon as they felt the danger. However, what if we reversed the whole sequence. Instead of hitting what appears in front of you, why don't you hit the target where they would stop?"
It didn't take long for Bai Ning to understand what he meant.
"So, are you implying that Li Feng has the ability to predict the future within a split second?! Well, it kinda makes sense since we are talking about UMT. However, that kind of computing power is impossible for human's brains, and it would require a massive power source, yet Li Feng's body has not yet been modified into an android or cyborg."
"He wasn't predicting." Ye Shen recalled every sequence in his head. "He has foreseen everything from the start. All he needed to do was execute the plan perfectly."
"Does it mean that Li Feng's System was programmed to do quantum calculations?"
"Well, there's only one way to know."
"If what you've stated is true, that kid is definitely a monster. Are you sure to fight him on your debut? I haven't sent the waiver to the UMT office, we still have a chance to call off the fight.
Ye Shen arched his lip invertedly, shrugging nonchalantly as if he was talking about the weather.
"I appreciate your concern, but it would be unnecessary, Lady Bai Ning. I know his trick, it will be fine."
"Alright then… What kind of training do you need to counter Li Feng's insane calculation?"
"There's some training methods that I can try, but it'll be very dangerous for other gym members. I need a secluded place to train. Preferably somewhere which is surrounded by nature."
