Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Awakening

The Great Monolith Prison holds many a secret. Keeping the ones who speak out against the corrupt ways of the demigods silent. Their corrupt ways blindfold the poor and weak, leaving them helpless against the higher forces.

Withing the prison resides a once heroic warrior, now reduced to flesh and bones, his sister who was once a caretaker of the weak, subjected to the same fate. And the main contributor to the start of the Kings oppression, Roman Marcellus, as they all are held within large tanks of water.

Ever since their imprisonment, the lands have flooded with chaos, rulers preparing for war, underground factions rise to the surface and all caused by the betrayal of the Kings three men.

However, there may still be a light in this dire situation.

Night falls as the moon rises to reveal itself to be blue. As the moon reaches its peak, a beam of energy gets shot forth, through the night sky, above the mountains until it reaches the prison. It makes contact with the very center of the prison where the energy travels throughout it, reaching the bottom of where the trio resides still dormant. As it makes its way to their tanks, they start to gain consciousness once more.

As their eyes open, they release a wave of energy throughout the room as they shatter the glass in front of them with their bare hands, the same glass that held them back for seven years. Immediately, they blitz through the stone guards, turning them into sedimentary pieces and break through the prisons stone wall with their bare hands. They analyze the outside that they where kept away from for so long just to find out that they are stranded on an island. Still determined, they get ready as they glide across the water and spot a nearby ship as they approach it.

A cannonball heads toward them, however gets smashed through immediately. As they make a leap for it, they land on the ship where they quickly dispose of the sailors. They scavenge the ship for food as they take whatever weapons that could serve useful to them as they dismantle the ship, causing it to sink along with the bodies of the sailors.

They glide once more along the waters as they spot a cave on the near shore where they settle for the night and feast on the stolen food.

After they are done eating, the warrior asks, "How long where we in there?". "Long enough for a large chunk of our flesh to be consumed, half of my face is missing along with my arm and parts of my chest!", says Roman.

The food that they had gotten was insufficient so the only other food source was that of fish.

Roman dives down to gather some as the others gather fire wood and as they finish, they settle down as Roman grabs the fish that got caught within the confines of his skeleton and his mouth.

They create a fire to cook the fish over and cut them open with the knives from the ship. "So, shall we just ignore that we just broke out of prison?", asks the caretaker. "Look Sage, we are processing it too, so just eat your food", says her brother.

As they finish, they put out the flame and head out of the cave to find somewhere to stay. As they look around, they find themselves to be in the Boreal forest where mysterious beings lurk within the trees, as a barrage of arrows coated in a substance hit them as they fall unconscious once more.
