Inside Naruto's sealed space—
The atmosphere was dark and damp, with shallow water covering the floor, making the whole place look like a gloomy underground sewer.
At the far end of the space stood a massive cage of redwood, sealed with a paper charm.
Within the cage, it was pitch black and eerily quiet.
But today, two crimson lanterns suddenly flared to life within the darkness. A colossal figure slowly emerged, rising to its full, fearsome height and roaring in rage:
"Uzumaki Naruto!!! You dare to threaten me, you little runt!? You think I'll just obey you!?"
But no matter how furious the roar, it could not pass through the seal within Naruto's body.
Naruto pressed the kunai closer to his neck, letting its blade draw a shallow line of blood. He smirked.
"Kurama, I've spoken to you many times before. You never responded. So I gave up on polite conversation."
"This is the last time I'll ask you—lend me your chakra."
"Otherwise, we die together."
To make his intent clear, Naruto purposefully let the blade bite into his skin, leaving a trail of blood.
One second… two… three…
At the third second, Naruto suddenly felt an overwhelming surge of chakra erupt from his abdomen—wild, overpowering, and seething with malice.
It was filled with the evils of the world: fury, darkness, corruption, greed…
He could feel his consciousness tremble beneath the pressure.
But Naruto grinned excitedly and smashed his fists together.
"So that's why you never answered me before. Turns out, I just needed the right method. You're the kind who only responds to force, huh, Kurama?"
"Uzumaki Naruto, I'll kill you for this!!!"
Kurama's furious roars thundered through the sealed space.
"If you ever try threatening me again, I swear we'll both go down together!!!"
Predictably, his rage was again muffled by the seal inside Naruto's belly.
Kurama thrashed in fury, slamming his nine tails through the air like a storm of rage—but all in vain.
Feeling the endless chakra flow into him, Naruto couldn't help but marvel.
"No wonder they call you a natural disaster… this chakra is insanely dark… but also insanely powerful."
Though all chakra shared the same nature, tailed beast chakra far surpassed that of humans.
And Senjutsu chakra surpassed even that.
These thoughts flashed through Naruto's mind as he turned his eyes to the sea. He licked his lips, a fire burning in his gaze.
"Let's see how a Jinchūriki using bijū chakra stacks up against the Marines' future admirals…"
He began mentally reviewing the jutsu he had mastered, hands forming seals in rapid succession.
…
"Hey, what's that kid doing on the beach?"
A lookout stationed atop one of the Buster Call warships frowned, peering through a scope at the golden-haired youth.
Concerned, he turned and called to the sailors below:
"Attention, everyone! There's a boy on the beach—suspicious movement detected. He may be preparing an attack!"
His words drew bursts of laughter.
A chorus of jeers followed:
"Come on, scaredy-cat. That kid doesn't even look ten. What kind of threat could he be?"
"Yeah, you sure you're cut out to be a Marine? Go home and drink your mama's milk!"
"Haha! We're gonna launch the Buster Call anyway—why not fire a shot and save him the trouble?"
The lookout's face flushed with embarrassment.
"I-I'm doing this for your own good…"
"Wait—boy?" On the flagship, Kuzan's expression shifted. He looked toward the beach, spotting Naruto.
His eyes softened with pity.
"So young… and yet already forced to raise his hand against the Navy…"
Sakazuki snorted, scoffing at Kuzan's hesitation.
Then—
Brrrring.
The Den Den Mushi began to ring.
Sakazuki picked it up casually.
Spandine's panicked voice shrieked through the line.
As Sakazuki listened, his eyes suddenly widened—then narrowed.
He slammed the receiver down and roared:
"FIRE!! Blow that brat to pieces!!"
The Marines on the ship hesitated for a moment, then rushed into action, swiveling the ship's cannons to target Naruto.
But—they were a step too late.
As Naruto's final seal fell into place, blood-red chakra erupted from his body. His chest swelled as he drew in a deep breath.
"Fūton: Daitoppa! (Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!)"
BOOM!
A colossal gale exploded outward. The wind howled across the sea, lifting water into waves three or four meters high.
The warships rocked violently. Several began to retreat uncontrollably.
The Marines on deck fared even worse. Caught in the gust, they were thrown into the sky like leaves in a storm—plummeting into the sea with screams that echoed across the water.
"Damn it! He summoned a storm! Is this a Logia-type Devil Fruit ability—or is this that 'ninja' stuff that idiot mentioned?!"
Sakazuki's face darkened, his hair whipping wildly in the storm.
Even Kuzan looked shaken.
But even with that display, Naruto wasn't satisfied.
"I'm already nearing Version 1 of the Tailed Beast Cloak… and this is all the power I can muster? Guess I still don't know enough jutsu…"
If only he could use Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Great Fireball), Raiton: Raijū Tsuiga (Lightning Beast Running Technique), Dai Endan (Great Fire Blast), or Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu (Water Dragon Bullet Technique)...
Even without elemental affinity, with Kurama's chakra he could forcefully use them—and wipe out several warships in one go.
"Forbidden jutsu are still a bit too tough to learn right now…"
So thinking, Naruto released the reins on Kurama's chakra.
The crimson shroud flared.
One tail emerged.
Then a second.
Then a third.
Just as the fourth tail was about to form—Naruto crushed it down.
Maintaining the three-tail state, he kicked off and sprinted across the water's surface.
"W-What!?"
Kuzan and Sakazuki both stared, shocked.
"He's not a Devil Fruit user!? Then how's he running on water!? What kind of taijutsu is that!?"
Sakazuki narrowed his eyes, a chill in his gaze. He raised a clenched fist.
"Dai Enkai! (Great Eruption!!)"
