Chapter 38 - Found the Big Boss’s Phone Number

Li Qiao returned to her third-floor bedroom, tossing her jacket aside as she pushed the door open in frustration—then kicked it shut with a thud.

One day, she would get to the bottom of this childhood engagement business.

At 10 p.m., after her shower, Li Qiao walked over to her desk, towel-drying her hair. She glanced at her laptop, tossed the towel aside, and turned the computer on.

She first logged into a foreign web simulator, then entered a server account and password.

A few seconds later, a black pop-up window appeared. Li Qiao paused for a beat, then grabbed her phone and found Liu Yun's number.

She entered the number into the program, typed a few lines of code, and hit Enter. The screen flickered for a moment, and soon a new page displayed Liu Yun's entire contact list.

In short, for once, Li Qiao actually put in some effort—personally using a tracking system and phone number to copy Liu Yun's contacts.

She worked fast, bold as ever, and didn't bother covering her tracks.

There weren't even a hundred people in Liu Yun's contacts.

Li Qiao didn't bother scrolling. Her eyes locked immediately on the top contact:

"Ah · Boss Master"

She had a strong hunch—that was Shang Yu's number.

Tapping her finger on the edge of the laptop, she clicked the contact.

The number was eleven digits long. The last ten digits were in perfect sequence.

Very on-brand for a big boss.

Li Qiao saved the number in her phone. Just as she finished, the laptop screen suddenly went black.

"Tsk. Found out already?" she muttered, unfazed.

She immediately dialed Li Shaoquan. "Clear my computer's IP and activity logs."

Li Shaoquan exhaled a puff of smoke and asked with casual amusement, "What did you do this time?"

"I copied someone's contact list," she said lazily.

Li Shaoquan clicked his tongue and took another sip of water. "Did you get caught?"

"I did," she replied, glancing at the flickering screen. "Oh—and I used your tracker account."

Li Shaoquan almost started swearing—but before he could blow up, his phone pinged with a bank notification:

3 million deposited.

Instantly, his tone softened into a flattering chuckle. "No worries, boss. I'll take care of this tiny little problem."

Li Qiao gave a casual "Mm," hung up, flopped onto her bed, and started searching for Shang Yu's WeChat ID.

At the same time, under the deepening night sky, nestled among the grand mountains near Nanyang, the lights of Nanyang Manor glowed like a lantern against the darkness.

This was Shang Yu's private residence. The entire Nanyang mountain area was under his name.

In the manor's private garden, Liu Yun sat at an exquisitely carved jade table, watching as Chasing Wind furiously typed on a keyboard.

Finally, Liu Yun couldn't help but mutter, "Can you even get it done or not?"

As soon as he heard that, Chasing Wind was immediately displeased. He froze his fingers over the keyboard, shot a sideways glance at Liu Yun, and jerked his chin toward the computer.

"If you're so great, why don't you do it?"

Liu Yun didn't hold back and kicked him. "If I knew how to trace IPs, would I be wasting my time watching you screw around?"

"Then shut the hell up!" Chasing Wind snapped, clearly annoyed. He turned back to the computer and resumed typing, grumbling under his breath,

"What kind of useless trash are you, huh? Even let someone hijack your contact list. If I hadn't caught it in time, you'd already be dead on the spot."

Despite his rough personality, Chasing Wind's hacking skills were top-tier—no exaggeration.

Among the four elite aides under Shang Yu, each had their own specialty, and every one of them was the best of the best.

After being insulted repeatedly, Liu Yun was starting to get impatient. He lit a cigarette and muttered,

"Enough with the crap. Can you track it or not? If not, I'll call Wang Yue and have the Red Hackers step in!"
