Chapter 28 - He Belongs to Shang Yu

The smirk on Chasing Wind's lips deepened as his gaze fell on Li Yan's arm draped around Li Qiao's shoulder. With a sarcastic tone, he sneered, "Didn't you hear him call her baby just now? What do you think their relationship is?"

"Come on," Old Liu replied dismissively, "Men who come to these kinds of events usually bring a female companion. Most likely just here for appearances."

Drawing his own conclusion, Old Liu glanced at Chasing Wind, who was clearly intrigued by Li Qiao, and didn't hesitate anymore. He stood up and said confidently, "Boss Feng, don't worry. Li Yan doesn't have many hobbies—he just loves famous paintings. If you're really into that girl, we can offer him a couple of paintings in exchange. No doubt he'll go for it."

Chasing Wind tried to recall just who this Li Yan was. After a few moments, he came up with an evaluation: "Isn't he the guy who fancies himself as Nanyang's top art dealer?"

Old Liu slapped his thigh and grinned. "That's him! Put nicely, he's an art tycoon. But honestly? Just a middleman flipping famous paintings for profit."

Chasing Wind curled his lips in understanding and slowly stood up, adjusting the collar of his dark floral shirt.

"Let's go."

"Right this way, please!"

In less than twenty minutes, Li Qiao had already looked over nearly every painting in the art corridor.

Aside from The Reaper, none of the other pieces were really worth acquiring.

Leaning idly against a corner wall, she pulled out her phone and started searching for keywords related to "Parma."

Just then, clear footsteps echoed from behind her. She turned off the screen and slowly tilted her head, spotting two men approaching.

She didn't recognize them.

Li Qiao took one glance, then looked away.

Seeing this, Chasing Wind instinctively raised an eyebrow. Did she just ignore him?

This face of his—any time he went out, he'd attract flocks of admirers.

Was she… blind?

Old Liu glanced at Chasing Wind's expression, then quietly whispered, "Boss Feng, I'll leave you to chat with her. I'll go find Li Yan."

Chasing Wind responded lazily, and after Old Liu left, he strolled over to Li Qiao. Mimicking her pose, he leaned against the wall with one shoulder in a dramatic, flirtatious fashion.

"Hey, sweetheart. Interested in getting to know each other?"

At that moment, they met eyes. Both of them leaned casually against the wall, one knee slightly bent—and coincidentally, they were wearing matching dark outfits.

Li Qiao's expression remained indifferent. "Not interested."

Chasing Wind's Adam's apple bobbed slightly. He reached up and rubbed his eyebrow. Now that's personality.

I really want to chase her now.

"Well, once we're more familiar, you'll be interested. Let me introduce myself—I'm Chasing Wind."

Chasing Wind?

That wasn't a common name. Li Qiao studied his flamboyant, unrestrained manner—somehow, it felt vaguely familiar.

Suddenly, a thought struck her.

Lowering her eyes, she concealed the amusement in her gaze. "The name Chasing Wind… reminds me of Flowing Cloud."

"Oh? You know Flowing Cloud?"

Just as she thought—he was one of Shang Yu's men.

That exact same unruly flair.

Li Qiao's lashes fluttered lightly, and she gave a lazy smile. "Not really. I have a friend whose username is Chasing Wind and Flowing Cloud."

"What a coincidence!" Chasing Wind didn't notice the sly glint in her eyes at all. Feeling rather pleased with himself, he leaned in closer. "Don't you think this is fate?"

Chasing Wind was the classic playboy—free-spirited by nature, and especially drawn to bold, one-of-a-kind beauties.

And Li Qiao's dreamy, cool deer-like eyes? They hit him right in the heart.

In that moment, as she looked at him with a faint smile and asked, "Mr. Chasing Wind, are you with the Yanhuang Group?"

Chasing Wind's breath hitched, his gaze fixed on her smile.

He felt like he'd just been electrocuted.

Tingling all over, he replied with a cocky grin,

"Yes, yours truly—Chief Executive Officer of Yanhuang Group."
