As Rex marched towards the Meteorite, the pulse continued, each wave made him feel like every part of his being was being struck by an enchanted hammer.
"This is too much suffering for a game", Rex consoled himself. He had suffered pain that he had never even dreamed of in real life, but he did not feel regretful of it. Rather he felt like he had only begun to live, every single moment since he had begun this VR game had been full of intense events.
As the booms of the pulse struck Rex, the wrong emotions were being evoked. Rex could feel excitement mixing with the pain as his pace increased. A certain curiosity was taking root in his heart, 'Just what would happen, when I touch the rock'.
The still that had been borne from the shockwave of the meteorite was slowly being banished.
Names were shouted as loved ones tried to locate themselves.
The cries of scared children could be heard as they woke from the shock of the event.
Activities were already resuming at the edge of Rex's vision, where the pulses from the meteorite could not reach.
All this where illuminated by the three moons that hung in the sky above Alderom.
Rex continued to march forward amidst all the hassle, then something alien from all the ongoing noise happened.
Rex had no idea how it came to be, but the atmosphere had taken on a purplish tint. As he took note of this, he continued to march forward. Everything began to look a bit more hazy as some form of fog began to saturate everywhere. Rex marched on.
As the fog intensified, Rex noticed his heartbeat quicken, he could feel fear creeping up his spine. The sort of fear you get when you feel like a ghost is tailing you on a night walk, or when you first interact with a custom AI trained on your personal data.
His steps began to falter.
Goosebumps spread all across his body. "What the hell is this?" Rex screamed as his breathing quickened. He could feel an intense fear feeling his body, the fear brought up a memory.
'A gun pointed at him, while he stood rooted on the floor, his body was filled with a similar feeling just like he felt now. His Dad's body lay on the floor stiff. As blood and brains plastered the floor.
"Noo!!!!", his mum screamed.'

Ahhhhh!!!!!!!
A shout broke his visit down memory lane. He turned towards the direction of the sound. The fog had greatly reduced visibility, but he was still able to see a Skeleton several meters away.
'A skeleton!' The Overwhelming feeling of fear subsided a little as he took in the visual representation before his eyes.
A human skeleton was slowly making its way towards a crawling girl, the origin of the scream. With each movement, all of its faculties shaked like they would scatter from each step.
The girl turned as the skeleton drew closer and crawled some distance away from the approaching skeleton as much as she could. The pulses from the meteorite had not ceased, sprawled on the floor, she was spared from the brunt of the force as scattered structures shielded her from it.
But she had put herself in a lock, she had crawled to the edge of a broken wall, where she had nowhere else to crawl to from the slowly advancing mesh of bone.
Similar occurrences like this were repeating in several other places all around the meteorite. As far as he could see at the moment. Rex guessed that they were more than a hundred of such skeletons. At the point where he stood, there was no such development.
The skeletons were appearing in a 200meter radius distance away from the meteorite.

A new timer appeared in his POV, it was a timer that represented his window for interacting with the meteorite. The moment the timer popped up he knew that, it was like the knowledge had always been there in his head.
AHHHHH!!!
The girl screamed again, the wobbly skeleton had caught up with her, its bony hands gripped her tiny feet as it pulled itself forward towards her.
The girl had not been able to find any of her family after the meteorite struck. She was sleeping and the next thing she knew she was sprawled across the ground, surrounded by debris of her home. She stood up to call her family and was hit by a stange wave that sent her clashing towards a wall.
She had fallen asleep again, and when she woke up, she saw a hideous heap of bones making its way towards her. She had screamed all she could and tried to crawl as far as she could from the hideous monster, but it had caught up with her. She had tried her best to act matured as her father always said, but she couldn't anymore.
She broke into the most infantile of cries as the creature pulled itself up to her stomach, she could feel a chill from everywhere the creature touched. She was so-so scared.
Then'
Krick!
The head of the hideous monster shattered. As a burning hand bust through it.
Rex pulled back his hand.
"Heyyy," he waved at the tiny girl. "Find somewhere to hide, alright," he said with a smile. Those were the comforting words that had come to his mind at the moment.
He still had an ample window to play with, he couldn't bear to see the skeleton terrorize the girl. Even if it was a game, with how real it felt, he just couldn't bear to.
There was something he could do about it, so he did it. That was the mantra that guided his decision.
He scanned through the devastated outskirts of Alderom, there were several such skeletons and he was bubbling with energy. The moment he had chosen to save the girl, the overwhelming fear that had been borne from the purple mist had greatly subsided.
With a swoosh Rex dashed towards the next closest skeleton. He was back in his default apparel, a dark short that clung tightly to his frame, having pulled off his brown mantle for the freedom the current get-up offered him.
His recent target did not shatter in a single blow like the first, its gait were steadier and it had a more solid frame than the earlier skeleton.
It did not break at the first hit from RageBorne, but it broke at the third. Rex continued to tear through skeleton after skeleton as the purplish fog continued to thicken.

"Spread and Attack the Abyss Creatures!"
Bahlrok screamed, he had finally arrived with his assembled warriors, the battle was just beginning.
Malhic turned to Luna, they had arrived together with Bahlrok's charge. Her Arma in hand, she cast a spell on Luna, A buff to increase her senses.
"Find Him."
Luna nodded, there was no need for talk, she could feel the intensity of her mother's emotion. The last thing she would do was to take them lightly.
She did not have any item to direct her towards Rex, but she knew where to loook for him.
She ran towards the meteorite as the purplish fog continued to thicken.
