Parker Lodge; Patrick Hodge? It could be. But what about "Mike Sullivan"? It's such a common name that you can't get much useful information—no address—but a visit to Everlite Gas & Electric's website turns up no one named "Mike Sullivan." The name shows up in reference to the "Big Calc," but you can't get any details, not even a picture.
Nothing about the "Beast of Everlite" either, but two people on Nextdoor claim (without evidence) that Everlite Gas & Electric is holding an alien in the "bowels" (both people use the term) of their facility.
Though that seems unlikely, you know about the Holyoke pipeline, because Clay's pack disrupted the original plan to run a pipeline from the Dakotas all the way to Boston—through your home in Northern New York. It sounds like a smaller version of the project is still underway. Those responsible for the pipeline invasion operated using dozens of shell companies, none of which lasted for more than a few years. Except Everlite: they've been around for decades, and they're not a shell company. A broad-ranging energy consortium, they supply oil, gas, and other power sources to large swaths of New England. You remember hearing about some of their shady dealings, but it was outside of your old territory, so you don't know much. Maybe Scarper could tell you something.
Elton and I return to Broad Brook.
Where can I find Nin?
I email Scarper and ask him about Everlite.
What about Melodie Palys? I text Elton about her.
If Elton and Ms. Clear both want me to wait, I might as well pull in some extra shifts at work.
Is there any news of Black Tarn, since she disappeared into the Umbra?
Elton promised to introduce me to the surviving members of the "Three Families." I text him about that.
I check my phone.
