Chapter 15 - Pirate vs Marine (III)

On the other side*

"You know, I'm not really keen on using my hands to fight." Said Léon as he looked at Zappa. "My main focus is to use my hands to safe people, not hurt them." Zappa looked at him with confusion. "Are you kidding me right now, how do you plam to fight me without throwing a punch?." Léon smiled and within a instant he was next to Zappa, his stood high and came striking down on Zappa. "I don't need a punch, I got my legs to fight." He said with a grin.

Zappa barely had time to react as Léon's kick came flying towards him. He parried the attack with a swift motion of his sword, the blade flashing in the light. "You're quick," Zappa acknowledged, his voice laced with a mix of admiration and wariness. "But let's see how you handle a real swordsman." Zappa charged forward, his sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. Léon danced around him, his legs moving in a blur as he delivered swift kicks and knee strikes. But Zappa was well-trained, and he used his sword to deflect Léon's attacks.

The two fighters clashed, their movements lightning-fast as they exchanged blows. Léon's kicks were precise and powerful, but Zappa's swordsmanship was unmatched. He parried and riposted, his blade slicing through the air with deadly accuracy.

As the battle raged on, it became clear that Zappa's sword was a formidable opponent. Léon's kicks were no match for Zappa's skill and precision. Zappa landed a series of swift strikes, his sword flashing in the light. Léon leapt back, his eyes widening in surprise. "You're a skilled swordsman," he said, his voice laced with respect. "But I'm not going to back down." Zappa grinned, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'm just getting started."

Meanwhile

The battle raged on, with both fighters giving it their all. Ella's speed and agility allowed her to dodge and weave around Bonham's long-range attacks, but Bonham's reach and power made him a formidable opponent. As the fight intensified, Ella began to tire. Bonham's relentless assault was taking its toll, and she knew she needed to find a way to counterattack if she wanted to win. She studied Bonham's movements, looking for a weakness to exploit.

And then, she saw it. A slight hesitation in Bonham's movements, a tiny window of opportunity that Ella pounced on. She launched herself at Bonham, her fists flying in a precise and calculated attack. Bonham tried to defend himself, but Ella's speed and technique proved too much for him. She landed a series of swift jabs and hooks, each one landing with precision and power.

Bonham stumbled backward, his eyes wide with surprise. He hadn't expected Ella to be so relentless, so focused. He tried to regain his footing, but Ella was unforgiving. With a final, decisive blow, Ella knocked Bonham to the ground. The Long Arm Tribe's fighter lay there, defeated and exhausted.

Ella stood over him, her chest heaving with exertion. "You may have reach," she said, her voice steady, "but I have skill and determination." Bonham looked up at her, a mixture of admiration and respect on his face. "You're a formidable opponent," he said, offering Ella a nod of respect. "I didn't think anyone could keep up with me like that." Ella smiled, a small, triumphant smile. "I guess you were wrong."

The fight intensified, with Zappa unleashing a flurry of sword strikes that Léon struggled to defend against. Léon's kicks were precise, but Zappa's sword was faster, and he managed to land several glancing blows that sent Léon stumbling backward. Despite his skill, Léon was beginning to tire. Zappa's relentless assault was taking its toll, and Léon's movements were slowing. Zappa sensed victory within his grasp and pressed his advantage, unleashing a powerful strike that sent Léon crashing to the ground.

As Léon lay there, battered and bruised, Zappa stood over him, his sword raised in triumph. "It's over," he said, his voice firm. "You can't keep up with me." Léon looked up at Zappa, a mixture of admiration and frustration on his face. "You're a formidable opponent," he said, wincing in pain. "I didn't expect you to be so skilled with a sword." Zappa lowered his sword, a hint of respect in his eyes. "You're not bad yourself," he said. "But in the end, skill and training win out over raw talent." Léon nodded, a small smile on his face. "I guess you're right. But I'll be back, and next time, I won't underestimate you." Zappa grinned, sheathing his sword. "I'm looking forward to it."

As Zappa turned to walk away, Léon suddenly sprang into action. With a burst of speed, he launched himself at Zappa, delivering a swift kick that caught the swordsman off guard. Zappa stumbled backward, his eyes widening in surprise. "You sneaky devil!" he exclaimed, as Léon pressed his advantage.

Léon's kicks rained down on Zappa, each one landing with precision and power. Zappa tried to defend himself, but Léon's attack was too sudden, too fierce. As the kicks continued to land, Zappa's defenses began to break down. He stumbled backward, his sword arm weakening. And then, Léon landed the final blow. A powerful kick that sent Zappa crashing to the ground.

The outcome of the fight was reversed, and Léon stood over Zappa, his chest heaving with exertion. "You may have skill and training," Léon said, a triumphant smile on his face, "but I have determination and cunning." Zappa looked up at Léon, a mixture of surprise and respect on his face. "Well played," he said, offering Léon a nod of admiration. "I didn't expect that turnaround. I should've known than to trust a pirate. "

Léon grinned, his eyes sparkling with triumph. "That's what makes me a formidable opponent," he said, helping Zappa to his feet. The two fighters stood there, their chests heaving with exertion, their mutual respect for each other palpable. "Rematch?" Zappa asked, a hint of a smile on his face. Léon nodded, his grin still wide on his face. "Anytime."
