Chapter 5 - Rescue in the Night

My phone rang, the screen illuminating with Yoongi's name. I answered immediately, my heart pounding. "Yoongi, help! I'm at the Silver Fox Pub!"

Before I could finish, the man snatched the phone, a smug smile spreading across his face. His eyes widened momentarily at the mention of Yoongi, but he quickly masked it with a smirk. "Oh, trying to call your little Yoongi? Too bad. You're not going anywhere. You're mine now."

Dread clawed at my insides. Had Yoongi heard me? I trembled, desperate for him to come. The Silver Fox Pub was only a five-minute drive from our home. I needed him.

I lunged forward, trying to reclaim my phone. My mind was hazy, my limbs heavy. He easily fended me off, his hand closing around my wrist, keeping me pinned against the car. "You're not getting this back," he taunted, relishing my distress. "Yoongi's going to be too late. You're coming with me."

"Help! Yoongi! Yoongi!" I screamed, fear consuming me. I pushed him with all my might, a surge of adrenaline coursing through me.

He stumbled back, taken aback. But his anger flared. He seized my wrists, his grip almost painful. "Hey, hey, stop that! You're just making it harder," he hissed. "You're mine now."

Sobbing, tears spilled over. The man loomed over me. "Enough crying," he said, his expression hardening. "I'm taking you with me."

His words were a twisted promise. The reality of my situation crashed over me. All I could think about was Yoongi.

My stomach churned. As the nausea took over, I couldn't hold it back any longer—I threw up all over him.

He jumped back, disgust twisting his features. "Ugh, that's disgusting! What's wrong with you?" he shouted, wiping at his clothes as if my vomit had tainted him.

I seized the chance and bolted. Adrenaline propelled me forward. But my legs felt like jelly. I tripped and fell hard.

"Get back here, you little brat!!" he yelled.

I heard his footsteps closing in. Panic clawed at my throat. I scrambled to push myself off the pavement. My heart raced as I desperately looked for an escape. The dim lights of the Silver Fox Pub glimmered in the distance, a beacon of hope, but it felt so far away.

"Stop running!" he barked, lunging.

I rolled over, seeing his hand outstretched. I scrambled to my feet, barely managing to regain my balance. I could feel the heat of his anger radiating behind me. "Yoongi!" I cried, my voice hoarse. "Help me!"

He was relentless. "You can't escape!" he shouted, his breath ragged.

With a final burst of energy, I sprinted towards the entrance of the pub, praying for safety. The door was within reach—just a few more steps.

Before I could reach the door, a hand seized my arm, pulling me back. "You're not getting away," he sneered, his breath hot against my ear.

I twisted, trying to break free. "Yoongi!" I screamed, hoping against hope that my cry would reach him, that he would come to save me before it was too late.

He tightened his grip. My knee and elbow throbbed, blood oozing from the bruises. The cold pavement pressed against my skin as I struggled against him.

"Look what you've done!" he spat, annoyance creeping into his voice. "You think you can just escape?"

Trembling, I whimpered. I needed Yoongi. Terror gripped me as he reached for me, his hands encircling my waist, lifting me effortlessly. I squirmed and yelled. "Leave me! Yoongi, help me!"

Just then, a familiar car screeched to a halt. "Yoongi!" I cried desperately. I could barely see through the tears streaming down my face, but I knew it was him.

His eyes widened, then narrowed. "You think he's going to save you? You're mine now."

Yoongi stepped out of the car, his expression shifting from confusion to alarm. "Let her go!" he shouted, his voice laced with authority.

"Help me!" I screamed again.

The man glanced back at Yoongi, calculating. He scoffed. "You think you can just waltz in here and take her? She's not going anywhere with you!"

"Let her go!" Yoongi repeated, his voice steady but urgent.

"Or what?" the man taunted. "You think you can intimidate me?"

I struggled again. "Yoongi, please!" I cried, looking into his eyes.

"Don't worry, I'm here," he said, his voice calm but fierce.

Yoongi's expression was thunderous. "What the hell do you think you're doing? Put her down, now!" His gaze fell on my bleeding knee and elbow. "What the hell is going on? What have you done to her?"

The man looked between us, then forced a smile. "She's mine now. She likes me."

"I don't like you!" I screamed. "I want to go home, Yoongi!"

"Let her go!" Yoongi shouted again. He took a step closer.

The man hesitated, his grip faltering. I felt the slightest shift in his hold, and I seized the moment to break free, scrambling away from him as I darted towards Yoongi. "Yoongi!" I cried, collapsing against Yoongi as he wrapped his arms around me protectively.

"I've got you," he murmured, his gaze locked on the man.

The man stepped back, his bravado wavering. "You think this is over? You can't just take her away from me!"

"I'm calling the police," Yoongi replied, his grip tightening. "You've messed with the wrong person."

The man's bravado crumbled. "You'll regret this!" he shouted, sprinting away.

I melted into Yoongi's embrace, trembling. I was safe. "I'm sorry," I choked out, tears flowing freely. "I didn't mean for this to happen."

"Shh, it's okay," he soothed. "You're safe now. I'm here."

I buried my face in his chest. "Take me home, my Love," I whispered.
