Early the next morning, sunlight spilled into the room through the window. Clothes were strewn all over the floor torn and tangled testament to the intense "battle" that had taken place the night before.
Li Xu lay on the bed, propping up his head with one hand, his eyes filled with amusement as he studied Bulma.
She stirred under the blanket, and when she noticed his gaze, a faint flush appeared on her cheeks.
"You're awake."
"Mhm."
"You were bold last night… why shy now?" Li Xu teased with a smirk tugging at his lips.
"Say that again and I'll stop talking to you," Bulma huffed, her face instantly turning crimson, as vivid as the setting sun. Just thinking about her behavior last night made her heart race in disbelief.
"Alright, alright. I'll stop teasing." Li Xu chuckled, though the sight of Bulma's bashful look stirred his inner fire again. If not for her soreness, he'd have pounced right back into action.
"I'll get you something to eat. You rest up today."
"Okay," Bulma replied softly, a contented smile blooming on her face.

After breakfast together, Li Xu made his way alone to the training room.
Since his Zenkai boost following the fight with Frieza, his combat power had surged past one million. He could feel a distinct shift in his Ki—no longer just raw power, but something more refined. He sensed he'd broken through into the stellar tier, a qualitative leap.
"Calm heart… pure rage… S-Cells," Li Xu muttered to himself, contemplating the conditions for unlocking Super Saiyan.
He had been observing the subtle evolution of his Ki. In the beginning, it was wild and turbulent, but after acquiring the Saiyan bloodline plug-in, it grew more intenseb yet slowly, parts of it became balanced as he continued training.
Drawing from his understanding of the manga, Li Xu hypothesized: the so-called S-Cells referenced by Toriyama are likely generated when Saiyan Ki becomes more stable and calm. These cells seem to accumulate under peaceful conditions, especially for Saiyans who aren't consumed by constant battle.
To achieve Super Saiyan, a Saiyan requires a minimum threshold of S-Cells, sufficient combat power, and a triggering emotional event pure, focused rage to catalyze the transformation. The higher the base power and the more S-Cells, the lower the emotional burden required.
Cabba from Universe 6 had been able to transform under relatively mild provocation from Vegeta. Trunks and Goten, born after their fathers had already achieved Super Saiyan, inherited large quantities of S-Cells and grew up in peace making their transformations effortless by comparison.
"At this point, transforming into Super Saiyan is still a long shot." Li Xu frowned slightly.
In the original manga, Goku transformed with a combat power of 3 million during his fight with Frieza on Namek, but that wasn't necessarily the baseline. Characters like Bardock, in the TV special and spin-off manga, achieved Super Saiyan with far less power.
The lower the base combat strength, the stronger the emotional trigger needed. For Li Xu, the most important person in the world was Bulma. Without something tragic happening to her, it would be extremely difficult to summon the kind of unfiltered rage required for transformation.
He clenched his fists, feeling his surging energy ripple outward.
"Still, I'll continue training… and prepare for the moment when that trigger comes. When it does, I'll break through."
And Li Xu would rather never transform into a Super Saiyan than allow Bulma to suffer even the slightest injury.
"No need to rush the Super Saiyan transformation. As long as my base power keeps improving, the form will only become stronger when I do unlock it." Li Xu mused to himself.

Paragus, though weak himself, was an opportunist driven by ambition and vengeance against King Vegeta. Even at this point in the timeline, Frieza himself would likely struggle against Broly's berserk might.
Li Xu had no desire to hand Paragus a free pass to control Broly again. If he wanted to recruit Broly, he'd have to separate him from his father's influence a delicate task.

That meant his power had grown to monstrous levels, even if unrefined.
"Ding Dong! Note: The Legendary Super Saiyan's combat power doubles naturally each year until physical adulthood. After reaching maturity, it still increases but at a reduced rate." The system interjected again, as if anticipating his thoughts.
"Why does it slow down?" Li Xu frowned, his expectations dimmed.
After all, he intended to unlock the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline for himself. If the adult growth curve was significantly reduced, that could be a long-term drawback.
"Before adulthood, the Saiyan body remains in a developmental state. The bloodline fluctuates and bursts with energy. Once mature, biological development slows, and with it, the exponential growth fueled by the bloodline also tapers." The system elaborated.
"So, even if I manage to replicate the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline, I won't get the yearly doubling effect?" Li Xu asked, visibly disappointed. He had already passed adolescence.
"Correct."

Still, he quickly collected himself. Even if the doubling stopped, the growth was still substantial, and combined with his automatic training plug-in, he would continue advancing steadily.

By evening, he returned to the room. Bulma had finally woken up after sleeping nearly the entire day.
"Hungry? I brought you something to eat," Li Xu smiled warmly, holding out a tray of food.
Grrrrrrgle! Bulma's stomach answered before she did. The smell made her mouth water immediately.
"This is all your fault!" she pouted, glaring at Li Xu while he chuckled in the corner.
"Okay, okay, it's all my fault." Li Xu grinned. Truthfully, he had pushed her past her limits last night and she'd passed out from exhaustion.
Seeing the food in front of her, Bulma forgot her scolding and dove in hungrily. She devoured the meal without restraint, and soon, the tray was completely cleared.
"You look full, but I'm still starving," Li Xu said, licking his lips with mock innocence.
"Didn't you eat already?" Bulma blinked, confused.
"I didn't eat anything." Li Xu replied, voice low, eyes glinting mischievously.
"Want me to cook more?" Bulma asked, tilting her head.
"That's okay. You'll do just fine." Li Xu smirked and lunged forward.
"Wha?!?" Bulma squealed as he grabbed her and pressed her into the bed.
In the next instant, clothes scattered and breath quickened as another intense battle began.
The room echoed with gasps, murmurs, and the rhythm of passion carrying on long into the night.
