"God, I'm so bored..." Liam talked to himself, he had gotten burnt out from grinding trophies in his shooter game, and is now simply scrolling through the Internet for anything interesting at all.
Only the table lamp was on in his dorm room, the rest of the room were dark, the roommate's out for party already after all.
[You have one message from Tyler.] A notification popped out of his phone.
"Hmm?"
"Turn on the lights, Sam." Her father barges into her bedroom while she's surfing the Internet.
"The table lamp's on."
"Open a few ones on the ceiling doesn't hurt." Her father says while flicking the switches on the wall.
"Argh, it's too bright now, and more expensive too."
"I worry about the electric bills, not you. So whatchu lookin' at?" Her father said then sits down beside her with a warm smile and curious eyes.
"Found this random account on YouTube that keeps commenting the same link over and over again under every video."
"Could be a scam, you didn't click into it did you?"
"I did consider that, but I mean there's no way I'll get hacked just from pressing into ONE link right?"
"You never know, technology's terrifying these days."
"Isn't it now. Anyways, it's harmless, this is all it is." Samantha says while pointing at the screen of her laptop.
"Would you rather?" Liam questions himself, the message Tyler sent him was [Yo roomie, would you rather survive a night in a shopping mall with 18 rabid hounds or in an island with 80 venomous snakes?]
"Well of course the shopping mall, I want the aircon." Samantha's father said confidently with a playful grin.
"That's what I was thinking too, I mean the threat levels are around the same, rabid hounds and venomous snakes, I hate snakes more though." Samantha commented.
"I'll take the snakes." Liam texted back, and received a reply from Tyler almost instantly, [Yo no way! Same. Mike chose the rabid hounds, he's dead for sure!]
"There's only one question to this whole website? That's lame." Samantha comments after clicking on the option of rabid dogs.
Not much happened on the screen other than a huge checkmark that appeared on the option Samantha chosen, no new questions.
"Don't these game sites then shows like the percentage of people who picked that option?" Her father questioned.
"You're right, they should have. This site is lame."
"What's this website called?" Sam's dad asked himself and looked at the URL.
Tyler: [Yo bro, you the Internet guy, know any more websites for more Would You Rather questions?]
Liam: [The site you used only has this one question?]
Tyler: [Yeah.]
Liam: [What website did you use?]
Tyler: [Link, saw this on YouTube.]
When Liam clicked into the link, his answer of the island with venomous snakes were already submitted, there was already a checkmark on his option despite this being the first time he enters this site.
Tyler: [So? Any more websites?]
Liam: [Search in Google.]
Tyler: [Oh come onnnn.]
Liam found this strange, how his preference were already submitted when he entered the website. He then searched the site for any account systems, maybe Tyler has made his account with Liam's email which is why the question was already answered.
However, there wasn't anything like that on the website. The website is painfully simple, a black background, a question, and two option boxes, one red and one blue, nothing else. Liam looked up at the website's URL and it read,

"Extreme? It's one question, what's so extreme about it?" Samantha's dad comments after reading the URL.
"Well I don't know, and I don't care. The new episode of The City of Broken Dreams is out, wanna watch together?" Samantha suggested.
"Yeah, sure."
"What a stupid name." Liam thought to himself, "sighs. Guess I'll go for a few more matches."
"That was..."
"Disappointing." Samantha finishes her father's sentence.
"Yeah it was, like I don't understand why Mercedes had to die."
"They literally just killed him off because there was no other way to nerf him, and if they don't nerf him, I guess the villain will not be threatening."
"Still though, that's a terrible way to do it, to have Matthew kill him?"
"Yeah I agree, this show fell off." Samantha sighs then turns off the tv.
"It's late, you should get back to your bedroom, tomorrow morning your mom wants to jog."
"Alright." Samantha gets up from the couch with a slouched back from exhaustion.
"Good night, Sam."
"'night Dad." Samantha said before heading upstairs to sleep.
"I don't usually get sleepy at this hour..." Liam thinks to himself.
As an avid gamer, feeling sleepy before 12a.m. is unprecedented for Liam. The Americano earlier isn't helping, he tries resisting the temptations to sleep but his vision starts to blur either way.
Meanwhile at the party, Tyler starts to stumble in his steps due to exhaustion too.
"Woah dude, you okay?" A girl in the party asked watching as Tyler almost fell from stepping on himself.
"I'm fine!" Tyler puts up his usual energetic face and a big thumbs up, but both starts to weaken quickly immediately, "I'm...fine..."
Thump thump thump
Three consecutive thump sounds startled everyone at the party, three people had collapsed onto the ground, spilling paper cups full of beer or fruit punch that they were holding onto the ground.
"Drunk already?" A guy teases, evoking laughter from the rest of the crowd at the party.
"I know right! They couldn't handle al...co...h-" Tyler collapsed, the laughters intensified.
The clock hits 10 o'clock.
Liam's eyelids slowly loses it's strength to keep his eyes open, and his will to stay awake gradually fades away.
The last thing Liam saw before he completely fell asleep on his computer desk was the digital clock on his laptop turning from 21:59 to 22:00.
The question was,
