Hakuto knew it.
He knew that night was going to be a disaster.
But he had never imagined it would go this far.
After the skirmish between Chantal and Itsu, the group headed straight to the most popular nightclub in central Ashiya.
The entrance was supposed to be for adults only.
But the famous Kurotsuki name, their money, and a bit of succubus magic did the trick.
Yuzu managed to get them inside.
Not only that—she got them the most prestigious table in the club.
And even had them served alcohol.
It was the perfect setup for an imminent disaster.
It took just one sip of the cocktail.
One tiny sip, and everything started to fall apart.
The alcohol hit Yuzu instantly.
She took off her shoes and climbed onto the table.
Started dancing barefoot.
So clumsy and uncoordinated that anyone would think she was on some kind of powerful drug.
No.
Just a drop of a cocktail barely stronger than a soft drink.
«Look at me! Look how hot I am! I'm the hottest in the world!» Yuzu shouts, her face red as a tomato.
She jumps on the table and waves her arms around like crazy.
~And to think she wanted to get Rika drunk…~
Hakuto has never felt this embarrassed before.
Rika is about to go home.
Chantal and Itsu instead, despite the not-so-idyllic start, are surprisingly getting along.
~After all, they're both monsters…~
Yuzu's clearly embarrassing show starts drawing attention right away.
Lustful eyes turn to her.
Desire builds with every little movement—whether it's her miniskirt riding up or her tiny top slipping out of place.
Yuzu is clumsy and childish.
But she's also undeniably sensual.
Her round butt and huge breasts catch everyone's eyes.
And Hakuto knows it all too well.
~Why does Yuzu have to act like this...? I hate that everyone's staring at her! But there's no way to reason with her like this…~
«There's still one thing I don't get… how the hell did you figure out I was a vampire?» Itsu asks Chantal.
«Well, it's simple…» she starts.
Her voice is still cold and distant, but not as much as usual.
~Those two really get along... Chantal must see him as a worthy opponent. She only respects people like that. Maybe it's a good thing I'm not on her level—at least she doesn't cling to me. But still, it's strange.
When I fought Itsu, I beat him pretty easily.
But earlier, he held his own against Chantal at full power. I feel like he's hiding way more strength than he shows…~
«…I understood it from your smell.»
«My smell…?»
Itsu looks confused.
Hakuto isn't any different.
He finds himself more and more focused on their conversation.
«Vampires give off a weird stench. Like blood mixed with spoiled milk. Most can't smell it, but for some reason, I can. Let's call it a natural gift,» Chantal says.
~I didn't know vampires had a scent… and Chantal can even pick it up. That girl never stops surprising me…~
«And me?! Do i smell like that too?!» Yuzu suddenly cuts in, slurring.
It's surprising she even heard them, considering the distance and all the noise.
But demons have sharp hearing.
«No. You just reek of slut!» Chantal snaps.
«W-WHAT DID YOU SAY?! REPEAT IT IF YOU DARE!» Yuzu shouts back.
«I said you reek of slut! And not just any slut—the really, really slutty kind!»
«I… I'll kill you!»
Yuzu lunges at Chantal, head-on.
But Chantal slams both feet into Yuzu's stomach and uses her legs like a spring to launch her away.
She flies through the air and crashes onto a nearby table.
The table flips, along with everything on it.
Rivers of alcohol spill everywhere, soaking Yuzu as she lies there, drenched in wine and cocktails.
As if things weren't bad enough, the table Yuzu landed on belongs to the team that won the national MMA championship just this afternoon.
They were drinking hard to celebrate.
And these are the kind of guys who look for fights even when sober—let alone drunk.
«Is the brat one of yours?!» snaps one of them—Mike, the star fighter—glaring at Itsu and Hakuto.
«We don't know her! Never seen her in our lives!» Chantal cuts in.
«I wasn't talking to you, woman! This is between men! Go back to the kitchen!»
Hakuto's eyes go wide. He's terrified.
He knows Chantal.
Knows her way too well.
He ducks under the table like an earthquake is about to hit—which, honestly, isn't far from the truth.
Itsu, on the other hand, gets comfy. He's just missing popcorn, watching like he's waiting for a movie to start.
Chantal jumps to her feet.
Her heavy steps boom as she walks toward the fighters' table, almost louder than the blaring music.
Hakuto stays hidden.
He knows there's nothing he can do to stop her.
«I think I didn't hear that right.»
Chantal glares down at Mike, who's still sitting, her eyes full of murder.
He gets up in response.
Now he's the one towering over her.
«You're right. It's a shame a hottie like you is stuck in the kitchen. You'd look way better in my bed.»
He bursts out laughing, and his teammates follow.
Even Itsu smiles—but not for the same reason.
He's just picturing the look on that brute's face after Chantal beats him to a pulp.
–WHAM!
A lightning-fast elbow smashes into Mike's face. He hits the ground without even knowing what happened, his nose broken and bleeding.
«You'll pay for this—»
He tries to get up, but Chantal slams her knee into his face.
He goes limp, completely knocked out.
«Does anyone else have something to say?!»
Silence.
The fighters freeze, eyes wide, too stunned to react.
They can't believe a single girl knocked out their strongest guy with just two hits.
«Perfect,» Chantal says.
She grabs Yuzu by the arm—unconscious but luckily unharmed.
She drags her back to the table like she's hauling out the trash.
But not even the Kurotsuki family's prestige can stop the bodyguards from tossing them out without mercy.
