Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Closer.

"I just think overly bright colours are for girls,"Chen Hao stated.

‎"I think you're sensitive about these things. It feels like you like girlish things but you're afraid to show your interest because you think people will judge you," Li Yang asserted.

‎"I'm not sensitive! I just don't like girlish things!" the younger lashed out and stormed out of the room.

‎Li Yang groaned in frustration, feeling guilty for messing up again. He thought of running after the younger but decided against it.

‎When morning came,Li Yang found himself in the Ocean Emblems' building apologizing to Chen Hao after their previous night's ordeal. Chen Hao was vengeful and he could have held a grudge and cut ties with the older but seeing the older's sincerity,he forgave him.

‎Li Yang was finally understanding that the always cheerful and unreserved Chen Hao was very sensitive. His boldness seemed to be a facade he had on to cover up his fragility.

------

‎It had been around one and half months since Li Yang and Chen Hao became friends. Ever since they've grown closer. Closer in a way that they were inseparable. From playing games to working out in the gym together and eating together occasionally. For Chen Hao he found an older brother and Li Yang got a younger brother in turn. They spent a significant amount of time to know each other well enough to predict each other's reactions to certain things

‎Like now,Li Yang had locked the younger out of the room while Li Yang and his temporary assistants designed the younger's room as he had promised.

‎"Yang-ge! Yang-ge! Li Yang!"Chen Hao yelled banging louder on the door," Open the fucking door. It's my room. How dare you throw me out of my own room,"the younger shouted expressing his dissatisfaction.

‎"Li Yang you jerk if you don't open this door you won't believe what I'll do to you!"Chen Hao threatened.

‎Li Yang smiled hearing the younger's insults and empty threats.

‎"What's going on?"Ren Siyuan questioned after he heard his best friend's yells.

‎"Siyuan don't you have a louder voice than mine. Why don't you help me to yell at Yang-ge. He threw me out of my room and refused to open the door,"Chen Hao explained.

‎"Why would he do that?"Ren Siyuan questioned in confusion.

‎"I'll explain later. Just let me borrow your voice,"Chen Hao said dramatically.

‎"Okay. What should I yell?" Ren Siyuan asked innocently.

‎""Li Yang you jerk open this fucking door," Chen Hao said emphasizing each word in the sentence- no word was to be left out.

‎"Okay,"Ren Siyuan cleared his throat before deciding to speak up.

‎"Yang-ge, open the door ChenChen is crying,"Ren Siyuan pleaded in a low seductive voice and the next minute he was on the floor rubbing his butt to soothe the pain after Chen Hao delivered a strong kick.

‎"I told you to yell not to seduce him."

‎"But it worked ,didn't it?"Ren Siyuan said with a smug smile looking at the door which was now wide open. Chen Hao followed his line of sight and gasped in surprise seeing the RDS leader standing on the threshold of the door gazing at them intensely.

‎"Why didn't you open earlier?"Chen Hao asked feigning seriousness.

‎"Ta-da!"the older chirped ignoring the younger's complaints.

‎Chen Hao walked inside the room and to say he was amazed is an understatement. The room looked magnificent.

‎"W-Wow!"the younger exclaimed, mesmerized by the transformation in his room.:

‎The bedroom exuded a sophisticated and inviting ambiance, with a balanced mix of neutral and earthy tones that created a serene atmosphere. The bed, serving as the centerpiece, was dressed in soft beige and ivory linens, complemented by plush pillows in shades of taupe and cream. The tufted headboard was upholstered in a warm gray fabric, adding a refined texture to the space.

‎Above the bed, two framed abstract artworks in black and white contrasted beautifully against the rich wooden paneling on the wall. The vertical wooden slats, finished in deep walnut brown, enhanced the room's texture and warmth. Flanking the bed, two elegant pendant lights with golden accents and frosted white glass shades provided a soft and ambient glow.

‎Matching nightstands in a matte charcoal finish held table lamps with white shades, their bases showcasing subtle metallic accents in brushed brass. These were accompanied by decorative pieces such as vases with fresh green foliage, adding a refreshing touch to the space.

‎The flooring which consisted of light oak wood arranged in a herringbone pattern, had a large area rug in soft gray and cream hues placed beneath the bed to tie the elements together. In front of the bed, a round coffee table in a deep espresso finish held candles in muted gold and black tones, alongside small potted plants.

‎To the right of the bed, a plush armchair in a dusty beige shade was placed beside a small side table finished in dark walnut, adorned with a chic black sculpture. Nearby, a large potted plant with deep green leaves introduced a lively, organic contrast.

‎The window, framed with sheer curtains in a subtle champagne hue, allowed natural light to filter through, casting a golden glow across the space.

‎The interplay of neutral colors, warm wood tones, and metallic accents created an environment that is both elegant and cozy.

‎"Do you like it?"the older asked wearily gazing at the younger who was still looking at the room in awe.

‎"This looks..."the younger paused, looking for the right word to describe the breathtaking view he was witnessing."I don't know what to say...It looks too good. I need a strong word to emphasize this,"he said dramatically and chuckled at his own words.

‎"I'm glad you like it,"the older smiled warmly.

‎"I don't just like it I love it. It looks amazing and ..."

‎"Not girly,"the older completed and they both laughed.

‎"Actually I wasn't gonna say that. Anyway thank you so much. How much did you spend on this?"

‎"If I tell you you'll be stubborn about paying me back,"Li Yang asserted.

‎"Of course I should pay you. You must have spent a lot on this and also you've working since morning and it's now almost seven,"Chen Hao reasoned out.

‎"You don't have to. I designed it because I wanted to and you're my friend so it's not a big deal,"Li Yang argued back.

‎"Even if we're friends you still spent so much on it...you"

‎"Let's not argue today,"Li Yang interrupted.

‎"You always know how to shut me up..."the younger said in a small voice and pouted.

‎"And you always pout whenever I do that,"Li Yang teased.

‎"You!..."the younger huffed.

‎The younger's eyes wandered back to the beautiful scene in his room. A satisfied smile played on his lips as he walked around, his long slender fingers tracing everything in the room curiously like a child.

‎Li Yang felt happy,he always like seeing the younger smile.

‎"I'm gonna go freshen up I'll be back later,"the older informed.

‎"Okay,"the younger took a quick glance at him and went back to admiring the room. Li Yang stepped out leaving the younger to enjoy his little fairyland.
