Outside Nami's room.
Nojiko followed behind Sora, curiosity all over her face.
"Sora, why did you bring me here? What's going on?"
Sora chuckled. "I've prepared a huge gift for you."
Because he had deliberately kept it a secret, Nojiko and the others had no idea the Straw Hat crew was currently on Skypiea.
"A huge gift?"
"What is it?" she asked, her heart beginning to fill with excited anticipation.
If it was something prepared by Sora, it definitely wasn't going to be ordinary.
But the moment they entered the room, Nojiko froze in place.
Her eyes went wide with surprise as she saw Nami handcuffed to the bed.
"Nami?!"
Nami, who had been wracking her brain trying to escape, froze upon hearing that familiar voice. She turned her head in disbelief.
"Nojiko?! What are you doing here?!"
"It really is you!" Nojiko exclaimed and rushed forward, hugging Nami tightly.
Sora simply smiled at the sisterly reunion and sat quietly off to the side, not interrupting them.
Nami was both shocked and happy to see her sister, but when her eyes drifted to Sora again, her face went pale.
She clearly remembered that this man had... certain intentions for her body.
And now her sister was with him.
Don't tell me… he's going to use Nojiko to threaten me?!
A chill spread through her chest.
Soon, Nojiko noticed the cuffs on Nami's wrists. She turned toward Sora.
"Sora, why is Nami cuffed like this?"
"Oh, come on. It's just to keep her from running off," he replied casually. "She's a famous little cat burglar from the East Blue, remember?"
He tossed the key to Nojiko and chuckled. His mood was excellent.
Two gorgeous women, both with completely different charms, in the same room—who wouldn't feel good?
Once she was freed, Nami glanced at Sora cautiously, then leaned close to Nojiko and whispered:
"How close are you with him?"
"Umm…" Nojiko blushed, her face turning pink. "We're… very close."
In fact, their relationship had long since passed any point where "close" was an adequate description.
Nami's eyes lit up. She immediately whispered into Nojiko's ear, asking her to plead with Sora—get him to release her, and the Straw Hat crew too.
Nojiko paused, then slowly shook her head.
"Sorry, Nami… Sora won't let you go."
"No one can change his mind."
It wasn't that she didn't want to help. It was just that, at this point, both Sora and Nami were important to her.
And like Vivi, she already knew Sora's secret—how he could obtain Devil Fruits.
She understood that someone with Nami's navigation talents would never be let go.
Sora had told her that back in Cocoyasi Village, and she'd mentally prepared for it since then.
Nami's face turned white again. This time, it wasn't from fear—but despair.
Seeing Nami's expression, Nojiko felt conflicted. She looked toward Sora and pleaded softly:
"Sora, please… don't hurt the Straw Hats."
"Do it for me and Nami."
Since she couldn't change Nami's fate, she tried to at least spare her crew—maybe that would ease Nami's pain.
Nami looked toward Sora as well. She had the same thought—if she truly couldn't escape, then she would at least buy time for the others.
Sora smiled warmly. Bringing Nojiko here was the right move.
That assist came in at the perfect time.
After thinking for a moment, Sora turned toward Nami and smiled.
"Whether or not I go after the Straw Hats… depends on your behavior from now on, Miss Nami."
Nami gritted her teeth and glared at him.
She knew exactly what "behavior" he meant.
But then memories came flooding back—her journey with Luffy, how she joined them just to steal the ship, how Luffy had fought Arlong to free Cocoyasi Village, the endless adventures they'd survived together...
She didn't want to let this disgusting man have his way.
But she couldn't bear the thought of him hurting Luffy and the others either—not because of her.
His 1.5 billion bounty alone was terrifying enough, but that curly-browed woman who'd knocked out Usopp and Chopper with a single swipe… they stood no chance.
Sora sat back and calmly admired the torn expression on her face—like a collector enjoying a priceless masterpiece.
Nojiko, caught between the two of them, looked helpless.
Eventually, she leaned over and whispered something to Nami.
"What…? You have a Devil Fruit ability now?" Nami asked in shock.
Devil Fruits were incredibly rare.
"It's true, Nami."
"Sora can get Devil Fruits by killing those who already have them."
"This one I have came from a Baroque Works agent—it's the Bomb-Bomb Fruit."
"If you join us, I'm sure Sora will find you a powerful Devil Fruit too."
Nojiko even demonstrated her new power.
She hoped to tempt Nami into joining—if she joined them willingly, then Nojiko wouldn't feel so conflicted anymore.
From the side, Sora was practically grinning ear to ear.
Another perfect assist.
To Nojiko, it was gentle persuasion.
But in Nami's ears, it was a threat.
Because the Straw Hat crew had two Devil Fruit users—Luffy's Nika Fruit, and Chopper's Human-Human Fruit.
As for the Nika Fruit, Sora had no interest. No matter how strong it was, he didn't want a fruit with its own "will."
He wasn't trying to become some "warrior of liberation"—he wanted to rule the world.
As for Chopper's Human-Human Fruit? No thanks. Total pass.
Kill a Devil Fruit user, and you get their fruit…
Nami stared at Sora in shock.
This was the first time she had ever heard of such a thing.
Her mind spun as she thought of Luffy and Chopper's powers.
Then, something in her completely shattered.
She looked Sora in the eyes and said:
"…Fine. I'll agree to your terms."
"But you must not harm Luffy or the others."
