Chapter 70 - Finally Encountered

Several days later.

The horse-drawn carriage slowly arrived at the city gate of Soto City.

"Wow, is this where Brother Feng lived when he was a kid? It really is a big city!"

Hu Liéna poked her head out, looking at the three big characters on the city gate.

"To be precise, it's the place where I begged. Should I show some hospitality and take you begging on the roadside?"

Hu Liéna looked disgusted and said, "No way! I'm the Sacred Maiden of the Martial Soul Hall, not a beggar!"

"Haha!!!"

Wide streets, bustling crowds, and some vague memories in Jiang Xiaofeng's mind—though not his own—he could still recall them because he occupied someone else's body.

"Stop!"

The carriage halted on a street, and Jiang Xiaofeng called out.

"Brother Feng, what's wrong?"Hu Liéna asked, puzzled, since they hadn't yet reached the reserved hotel.

"It's right here where my teacher took me away. I clearly remember being beaten by some rich kids and lying in a pool of blood. It was my teacher who saved me!"

The memories surged, as vivid as if it were just yesterday.

He even clearly remembered the first time he saw that stunning woman—he was stunned.

"So it was here! Hmph, Brother Feng, do you remember who beat you? I'm going to teach him a lesson!"

Hu Liéna made a cutely fierce face, which made Jiang Xiaofeng laugh.

"The teacher already handled it. Let's go!"

The carriage slowly started moving again, stopping shortly at the entrance of the reserved hotel.

Jiang Xiaofeng looked up and was a bit surprised—this was the same inn where he once searched for Yu Xiaogang. Didn't expect it to be here.

Morpot quietly approached Jiang Xiaofeng and said, "Holy Son, the environment here is elegant, and all the people here are ours!"

"Our people?" So Yu Xiaogang stayed here because of Bibidong after all?

Damn Yu Xiaogang, such a useless piece of work. Betrayed Bibidong, and still took her benefits for granted.

At that moment, a group of people about two or three years younger than Jiang Xiaofeng and the others came out of the hotel, chatting and laughing.

The women were beautiful, the men handsome.

One red-haired fat guy stared wide-eyed at Hu Liéna.

"Hey, beautiful, free tonight? How about we—"

Xie Yue casually pushed the red-haired fat guy aside with a palm.

"Get lost, fatso!"

Hu Liéna showed a disgusted expression.

Jiang Xiaofeng narrowed his eyes because he saw the man behind the group—it was Yu Xiaogang.

And Yu Xiaogang saw them too, but didn't recognize them. Even if he had met Jiang Xiaofeng before, it was many years ago; everything outside had changed!

"Fatso, don't cause trouble for me. Can't you see how much they dislike you? Friend, no… huh, I feel like I've seen you somewhere before!"

Morpot squinted, thinking, You have seen me, but only once, back when you were with the Martial Soul Hall. You may not know me well, but I remember you.

"Maybe you're mistaken. Control your people. If you touch someone again next time, it won't be so easy!"

Yu Xiaogang nodded and said, "Sorry, fatso, apologize to the lady!"

The red-haired fat guy, named Ma Hongjun, frowned and said, "Sorry, but looking this seductive, I still have to watch out for people? What a joke."

"One Step to the Horizon!"

"A Thousand Pounds!"

"Ghost Shadow Pursuit!"

"Mystic Jade Hand!"

Jiang Xiaofeng narrowed his eyes watching the person blocking his way—the bizarre movement style was completely out of place in the Douluo Continent.

Tang San stared at Jiang Xiaofeng, surprisingly shocked. The guy's speed was so fast, his Ghost Shadow Pursuit could barely keep up, or else Ma Hongjun would be in serious trouble.

Suddenly, the atmosphere between both sides turned tense, as if a fight could break out at any moment.

Jiang Xiaofeng:"Your movement skills are good. Control your people, next time you won't be so lucky!"

Tang San:"Your movement skills are pretty good too. Fatso, apologize quickly!"

Ma Hongjun was startled. This was the first time Tang San spoke to him in such a tone—obviously, this guy was no good!

"S-sorry!"

Jiang Xiaofeng withdrew his fist, and Tang San put his palm behind his back.

Jiang Xiaofeng said, "Let's go!"

Tang San:"Let's go!"

The two groups brushed past each other, neither willing to admit defeat.

Inside the inn, Jiang Xiaofeng's face wasn't very pleasant. That person was strange—his first time seeing abilities besides soul skills, very similar to his own.

"Maybe this guy is a reincarnator too! And he's with Yu Xiaogang? This is no small matter."

Morpot came to Jiang Xiaofeng's side and quietly asked, "Holy Son, what do you think of that person?"

"Some things, but no big problem."

Morpot nodded. "He's Yu Xiaogang's disciple, named Tang San. We found out his martial soul is Blue Silver Grass!"

"Blue Silver Grass? That useless martial soul?"

"Exactly, but his Blue Silver Grass is different. Like you, he has innate full soul power!"

Jiang Xiaofeng's expression changed drastically. If true, combined with the earlier test, this guy might be like him—a twin martial soul, with Blue Silver Grass being only one of them.

Based on Yu Xiaogang's knowledge of twin martial souls, his first guess was twin martial souls.

"Track their movements!"

"Yes, Holy Son!"

Morpot went off to handle things while Jiang Xiaofeng calmly stared out the window. If this guy was really a traveler from another world, it explained his other abilities. The fact he was Yu Xiaogang's disciple made this complicated. Finally meeting a kindred spirit, but turned out to be an enemy. No choice, you just chose the wrong side.

Outside the inn, Tang San's palm trembled. If not for his Mystic Jade Hand blocking that punch just now, Ma Hongjun would be bedridden for days.

"Teacher, who are those people?"

Yu Xiaogang shook his head. "Not sure. People who can live here aren't ordinary. The next Soul Master Tournament is coming soon; looks like everyone is preparing. We should hurry too! Were you okay just now?"

Tang San shook his head. "I'm fine. That guy's strong."

Yu Xiaogang nodded. "Of course. Judging by his aura, he's a Soul Ancestor, while you guys are Soul Lords."

Tang San was shocked. That person looked only two or three years older but was already a Soul Ancestor. He thought his cultivation speed was fast, but there was someone even stronger.

"Don't take it too hard. Some major sects put all resources into their own disciples to make them grow fast, but their foundation is weak. You guys are different—I want a solid foundation for lasting combat power. Today's our first time at the Soto City Douluo Arena, where the soul masters are strong. You must perform well."

"Yes, Teacher!"

Two reincarnators finally met for the first time.

It seemed destined they would never be on the same team—perhaps their fated confrontation was already decided.
