With the help of Jojolba, fifty percent of the treasures from the Celestial Gold filled Bob's room, even spilling onto the bed, and it still wasn't enough to contain them.
Thus, Bob had no choice but to request a larger room from Rocks.
However, from Rocks, Bob learned that, apart from his own room, the largest room on the Rocks Pirates' ship was under Wang Zhi's name. This was because the room assignments were arranged based on the order of joining the Rocks Pirates.
In other words, whoever arrived first would claim the room, and that room would belong to them. Of course, that was an advantage for the crew members, securing a good space determined by their seniority.
After all, even if a crew member managed to get a decent room, if someone stronger came along and took it, they would still be kicked out.
It's worth noting that when it came to fights among the crew, Rocks and the commanders rarely intervened.
But this wasn't a problem for Bob.
As the saying goes, "Money makes the world go round." With Bob's financial prowess, Wang Zhi enthusiastically gave up the room. Additionally, Bob also secured a neighboring room for Jojolba.
Wang Zhi's room was much more spacious compared to the previous one. At least after stacking the treasure, Bob still had enough space to sleep on the bed.
Bob sat on the edge of the bed, looking at Jojolba, who stood to the side. His long hair covered his face, making it impossible to see what he looked like.
"Jojolba, it's time for you to get a haircut!"
"Next time I see you, I hope your hair isn't this long!"
"The room next door will be your place from now on. Go and rest!"
Bob then took out a key and tossed it to Jojolba.
After he left, Bob stretched and lay down on the bed. Remembering that he hadn't completed today's training, he shook his head, loosened his muscles, and got up to do some exercise.
Outside the window, the night sky was deep, and the silver moon shone brightly, casting strands of moonlight.
After closing the windows and doors, Bob prepared to rest. He took off his outer clothes and got into bed.
Just as Bob was about to fall asleep...
"Knock, knock, knock!"
A series of knocks pulled Bob back from the edge of sleep.
"What does Whitebeard want with me at this hour?"
Bob furrowed his brows, muttering to himself.
He got out of bed, quickly threw on some clothes, and opened the door.
Standing outside was a pirate.
Seeing him, Bob's brows furrowed even deeper because he didn't quite recognize the man.
Bob studied his face carefully. He was burly, with a thick beard, and looked somewhat familiar, but Bob couldn't recall his name.
"Commander Bob! I'm a member of John's team!"
The bearded man quickly introduced himself upon seeing Bob.
"Oh! Come in!"
Bob closed the door, sat on the edge of the bed, and looked at him.
"So, did Jon send you here for something?"
"No, no, I came on my own!"
The bearded man smiled broadly, speaking in a humble tone.
"You came on your own? Then you must have something to say! Go ahead!"
Bob was slightly surprised, glancing at him calmly as he spoke.
What could a member of another team want with him? Bob was also a bit curious.
"Commander Bob, you've recruited Kaido and Jojolba are you short on manpower and looking for new members?"
"Actually, ever since you joined the Rocks Pirates, I've always wanted to join your division. Seeing that you're recruiting today, I came specifically to ask if I could join your team?"
The bearded man spoke slowly, his tone respectful and his attitude very sincere.
Hearing this, Bob's expression changed. He hadn't expected that and was startled, suddenly wondering if this was some prank orchestrated by Jon.
But looking at the man's demeanor, it didn't seem fake he genuinely seemed to want to join his crew!
However, just as Bob was about to respond...
"Knock, knock, knock!"
Another round of knocking sounded. Bob got up from the bed, walked over, and opened the door.
A tall, thin pirate was standing outside.
"Commander Bob! I'm a member of John's division! I need to talk to you about something!"
Bob led him in, closed the door, and sat back down on the bed.
"Oh! You're here too!"
"Oh! What a coincidence!"
The two seemed to know each other, both looking surprised upon seeing one another.
They exchanged awkward yet polite smiles before falling silent.
Then, they both turned their attention to Bob.
"Commander Bob! You're recruiting new members, right?"
"Do you think I'd be a good fit?"
"My strength is among the top in the Rocks Pirates!"
The tall pirate spoke slowly, not only asking Bob to join but also showcasing his own capabilities.
Seeing this, Bob finally understood—they weren't here to mess with him; they genuinely wanted to join his crew!
"Knock, knock, knock!"
Another round of knocking sounded. Bob scratched his head, this time not getting up to open the door himself. He gave a look, and the more proactive bearded man immediately went to open it.
"Huh! What are you doing in Commander Bob's room?"
"Where's Commander Bob?"
The pirate standing outside was clearly surprised to see the bearded man and asked.
"He's inside!"
Thus, the third pirate came before Bob, and upon seeing the tall man, he was startled again.
But he didn't say anything more, turning to Bob and about to speak.
"Wait!"
"You're not here to join my division too, are you? Which division are you from?"
Bob cut him off, getting straight to the point.
"Yes, yes, I'm from Shiki division!"
The third pirate was clearly taken aback by the question, but upon seeing the looks from the other two pirates, he quickly understood.
"Damn!"
After getting a definite answer, Bob patted his head, his expression a mix of surprise and discomfort—utterly complicated.
He hadn't expected so many people to suddenly want to join his crew. Could it be his charm?
But they hadn't been this enthusiastic before!
Damn it!
Could it be they're after my treasure?
Thinking this, Bob immediately felt uneasy. He absolutely couldn't allow such people into his crew.
"Sorry, everyone, I appreciate your interest, but for now, I'm not considering members who already belong to other divisions."
Bob smiled as he politely declined the pirates' requests.
"Ah! That's such a pity! My admiration for Commander Bob is truly heartfelt!"
"Yes, yes! Who isn't? Commander Bob's charisma is just too strong!"
"Exactly! Commander Bob is awesome, a man who does great things!"
...
Upon hearing Bob's words, the three of them all wore expressions of regret, chattering one after another, clearly trying to sucking him up Bob.
As they continued, even Bob, with his thick skin, couldn't bear to listen anymore.
Finally, seeing that Bob remained unmoved and had no intention of persuading them to stay, they realized it was impossible, and one by one took their leave.
However, before leaving, each of them said something along the same lines to Bob: "Commander Bob, please don't tell my captain that I secretly came to see you!"
Watching them leave, Bob shook his head. In the Rocks Pirates, there were just too many traitors! After closing the door, Bob lay back down on the bed.
"Knock, knock, knock!"
The sound of knocking came again.
Bob was destined to have a sleepless night.
