Amishta can't help herself but smile. She was very happy deep inside her heart. She just walked side by side with Lewis and try to stare at Lewis hidden but she was always caught that made her blush.
"Are you okay? You are red all over your face?" Lewis asked with his left eyebrow raised. Amishta blushed even more but she just shook her head.
"I am fine. It was… it was just hot. Yes! It was hot." Amishta pretend to fan herself and try to act like she was totally heated.
"But it was already afternoon. The sun was not---"
"It was probably because I was wounded. Yeah! It was like that." Amishta can't help but defend herself. She doesn't know if she would be angry of embarrassment but as soon as he saw Lewis nodding his head she find it cute so she just smile.
"So where do you want to go?"
"I want to eat." Amishta pouted and hold her stomach. She wanted real food which is obviously junk foods. She missed them. Lewis looked at her and smirked. His expression was odd and Amishta seem to notice something about it.
"What?" Amishta asked.
"You'll know. Let's go or we will probably late." Lewis holds Amishta's hand and run to the crowded place. They were not fast enough and it was for Amishta as Lewis wouldn't want to make her wounds open. Amishta was blindly trusting Lewis and happily run with him. Amishta even thought that she woudn't want the time to pass.
"Were here!" Lewis stated while looking at Amishta. They were infront of a restaurant and looking at the design it was probably one of the highest paid restaurant they have for the era. Amishta was still surprised as even if she entered luxury restaurant in the present times it was still different as it gives way more natural luxury vibe.
"Is it your first time?"
"Yes." Amishta nodded and Lewis was not expecting it. He thought that she was probably a noble so entering such luxury restaurant was nothing. And since the restaurant was near the border it was not even as good as the one in the city.
"Welcome to Red Dragon, young master, young lady." The servant respectfully bowed to them. Though they were not wearing excessive clothing but their aura seems to be contradicting it. The servant was obviously intelligent enough not make things difficult for them. One thing that Red Dragon was known about is there service.
"We want to occupy the third floor." The servant was shocked. Red Dragon has 3 floors and third floor is there most expensive service as it was an overlooking with their most expensive food they have. Third floor only has three rooms and most of the client are the riches in the country as even a Prince won't enter if they don't have enough money.
Lewis gave a three gold bars to the servant and nodded. The servant enthusiastically guide them to the third floor. It is a good thing as they have another way to the third floor as not to create a scene for them. Amishta was just observing and was totally amazed. It was obviously not just a food establishment but it is more likely a place for information.
She sat in the chair and can't help but to be amazed. They can actually see what is happening from the first and second floor. It was like they were in the sky while observing those at below. She saw the food coming and can't help but swallowed.
As the food was serve in the table, Amishta didn't care about anything but food. She just dig in and enjoy every good that comes into her mouth. Lewis just couldn't eat as he was amazed how Amishta eat infront of him. He just put small pieces of food in his mouth and was already full. He can't help but to put some foods to Amishta's plate.
Lewis stared at her. He was quite curious as to how those foods were gone through this petite girl who was infront of him who can't stopped eating. He just shrugged and looked below them.
"That's enough food for you. You are still a patient and you already overfeed yourself." Amishta pouted but agreed. She still wanted to eat but her body can't take it.
"So what do you want me to see here?"
"Look down."
Amishta first fixed herself after eating and followed Lewis instruction. She saw lots of different person eating but one guy eating in the second floor caught her attention. He has an aura of a general but has an outfit of a commoner. It was obvious for Amishta to see through his disguise.
Suddenly a woman was approaching him. Amishta was curious as to what identity they have. The woman was obviously a noble. The woman take her seat and they looked like they talked seriously. To others it seems like they were a couple who has a fight but Amishta knew they are not but the woman seems to love the man.
"Who are they?" Amishta suddenly asked Lewis.
"That woman is Princess Laura."
"The first Princess of Shadow Kingdom?" Amishta asked. Lewis was shocked as most Princess real name was not known to the public. They were always introduced as Princess and their number of birth such as First Princess. Anyways Lewis already knew that Amishta has a noble identity.
"I--- I just know."
"Hhhmmm. She is."
Amishta was about to ask again but she watched back as the woman stand up with anger and acted to slapped the man infront of her but she was taken a back by a call from her back. The woman suddenly changed her attitude and become innocent. She is obviously a snake.
The newly arrived man was a noble. He was with servants and obviously a person who wanted to be always in the center of attraction. She went to him and act flirty. They talked for a minute and looked at the man on the table but left anyways. The man in the table stare at them leaving and his anger was totally obvious as he gripped his hands so tightly.
"Who are they? What happened?"
"That man is Marquis Lester the betrothed of Princess Laura. As for the other man, it was General Henry of Abberhyn Kingdom. As for what happened, Princess Laura is obviously in love with General Henry but the latter doesn't."
Amishta still wanted to ask but Lewis stand up and fixed himself. Amishta just sighed and think about General Henry. What is his connection to the Princess? What is his reason for being a traitor? If he doesn't love the Princess then why would he meet with her? Lewis hold her hand that made her stopped thinking.
"Let's go." Amishta was curious as to why Lewis would want her to see such a scene. He doesn't even know her but he actually made her see something that is very dangerous as it can be seen as treason but he just seem to take it as normal.
Amishta nodded and walked behind Lewis. Lewis drops another gold to the servant before they totally left the place. Amishta was still curious about Henry but looking at Lewis make her distracted. She can't just go back already. She still wanted her to accompany her.
"I want to play." Amishta run towards a stable and choose a horse for them both. She didn't pay but looked at him and smile. Lewis just pay for the horse and help Amishta ride on the horse.
"You are not suppose to---"
Amishta cut Lewis statement as she made the horse run fast that Lewis can't help but chase after her. He was afraid that her wounds would probably tear up again and produce more complications but he can't pull off her enthusiasm.
Amishta seems to forget about her wounds and ended up being so free. The presence of Lewis made her very comfortable and even left herself unguarded. The horse run so fast that Amishta can't control it. She knew that something was wrong to the horse. She can't just jump of it because it will cause her more injury.
Lewis who was following behind seems to know of Amishta's problem thus he was very worried. He tried to chase Amishta faster but when he was about to reach them. A cliff was infront of them. Amishta realize the cliff late so she was unprepared and jump to the horse. She used her strength to hold a stone in the edge of the cliff.
Amishta's wound was opened and it was totally bleeding. Amishta's arm was covered with blood. Lewis speedily helped her out of the cliff. Amishta seems to loss her strength. Lewis carry her into his arms but suddenly a bunch of assassins was surrounding them.
Lewis can't leave Amishta behind because she was in a bad condition. Amishta tried to get off Lewis but Lewis just tightly hold Amishta and make her stay into his arms.
"Oh? The devil seems to find an innocent pair. Don't you think it was your fault for her early demise!" The assassin leader smirked and laughed at Lewis trying to make him agitated. He was totally enjoying teasing Lewis because it was not usual to see a devil trying to save a kitten.
