The screech of impact echoed across the field.
When the spectators finally caught sight of them again, they were both in the center of the battlefield.
Yukika held the lance single-handedly in front of his chest, blocking Ai's one-finger Hell Stab!
But looking closer, one could see Yukika's wings trembling slightly, the ground beneath his feet sinking, his shoes embedded deep in the earth.
Like a wild beast, the Raikage roared again, his finger trembling from the immense chakra consumption, nearly bending!
Yet Yukika stood firm, like an immovable mountain.
"Incredible strength," Yukika commented.
From the rate of chakra drain alone, he could tell that in terms of pure physical strength, the Raikage surpassed Hanzō of the Salamander.
"But still—it isn't enough!"
With a flash of killing intent, Yukika flung his arm, sending the Raikage flying like he had taken a tailed beast's punch!

Gripping the lightning lance with both hands, Yukika's aura exploded once again.
