Zoe couldn't believe her luck. She stared at Natalie, her lips parted in disbelief, struggling to find the words to express her feelings.
Seeing the dazed yet lively expression on her face, Natalie chuckled softly.
"Have you made up your mind? If you're not interested, I'll pick someone else."
The moment Natalie spoke, several saleswomen who had been secretly listening nearby became energized.
"I can do it!"
"I'm great at cooking. If you choose me, I'll make you different styles of food every day."
"I make the best soups! Beauty, drinking soup is great for your complexion. Want to give it a try?"
Even a few male waiters chimed in eagerly.
"Collecting rent is something men are naturally better at. What if we run into unreasonable tenants? Miss Roberts, why not pick a man?"
"I'm strong—I won't let anyone skip rent."
Natalie smiled and turned back to Zoe.
With the excitement rising around her, Zoe finally made her decision. "I'll go. I'll go with you!"
