Chapter 6 - chapter-6 First fight

Ponto de vista de terceira pessoa

As Leekon settled into his combat stance, he provoked: "Let's dance, you disgusting thing!" His gaze was fixed on the opponent's red eyes. The Saibaman responded with a guttural growl.

Quirik!

Immediately, the creature charged forward, arms outstretched and claws ready to pierce. A smile spread across the young Saiyan's face as he mimicked the creature's advance, leaping forward the moment they were about to collide. The Saibaman aimed its attack at Leekon's throat, but, relying purely on instinct, the untrained boy quickly dodged, deflecting the blow and delivering a firm punch to the Saibaman's abdomen. The creature grunted again, more from fury than from pain.

"Haha!" the boy chuckled softly after the blow.

QUIREKK!

Leekon launched another attack, this time aiming for the Saibaman's chin. The creature deflected it and retaliated, its claws slashing across Leekon's chest. The boy tried to dodge but wasn't fast enough, so the blow hit his unprotected shoulder, leaving three red, but not deep, cuts. Despite the wound, Leekon's smile widened, looking even more euphoric.

He leaped backward, creating distance. "Time for a little test," Leekon declared, raising his hand toward the Saibaman. A bright light began to condense in his palm, intensifying as if forming dangerous, tangible energy. Instead, a small, weak ki blast was fired, but it hit the creature. "Weaker than I expected," Leekon mumbled.

This generated a cloud of smoke and dust. Through the haze, Leekon saw specks of green light forming before a barrage of ki blasts struck him. He crossed his arms in an X, bracing for impact.

Ugh!

The young Saiyan grunted in pain as the energy attacks burned his arms. A bizarre laugh escaped the Saibaman as it witnessed its opponent's agony.

When Leekon looked up, the Saibaman was already on him, claws extended in a vertical strike. Leekon dodged, causing the creature's claws to scrape the ground, gouging furrows in the rock. The Saibaman looked back at its target, but its eyes widened in shock: two feet, glowing with Leekon's ki, shot towards it. The ki-infused kicks connected, launching the Saibaman across the arena until it crashed and became embedded in a distant rock. Seizing the opportunity, Leekon delivered another ki blast. "This will hurt you more than me," he said with a bloodthirsty smile. This time, the ki blast was much more potent and precise.

The explosion destroyed the rock, and Leekon scanned the debris for any sign of movement. Finding nothing, he turned to his mother, seeking confirmation that the fight was over. She remained silent. In that moment of distraction, the ground suddenly ruptured, and the Saibaman burst from below, its attack aimed at Leekon's torso, tearing across his abdomen and up his left chest, leaving three hideous wounds. Fortunately, his intestines remained intact, and no vital organs were hit.

Blood dripped to the ground and covered the Saibaman, creating a macabre scene, making the already horrific creature even more repulsive.

With a scream of pain and rage – apparently directed at himself, for his foolish lack of guard, and not at his opponent – he delivered a barrage of punches to the Saibaman. They were wild, primal blows, lacking the finesse of a martial artist or a trained warrior. Even having that experience in his past life wasn't enough: these were the desperate attacks of someone with wounded pride. His eyes were fixed on the Saibaman, glazed with a predatory intensity. Each punch landed with nauseating thuds, his strength increasing with the fury and intoxicating thrill of combat. Even so, he continued to bleed, his body growing exhausted despite his indifference to pain.

Sensing an opening, the Saibaman leaped backward, disengaging from the brutal attack.

Gasping, Leekon stared at his opponent. Despite the purple blood oozing from every pore, the Saibaman was in better shape than him. Leekon had lost a significant amount of blood due to the open wounds, and his body was on the verge of exhaustion. Even in that desperate situation, the boy resumed his combat stance, a bloody smile plastered on his face as he faced his opponent. Even with all that pain and negative emotions, he still felt very satisfied with the fight.

They locked eyes and, at the same time, attacked. The Saibaman's claws extended once more, while Leekon's fists remained clenched. But before their attacks could connect, a figure emerged behind the Saibaman, one hand gripping its head. With a sickening crunch, the Saibaman's head exploded like a watermelon in a beach episode of a 12-episode romance anime.

The boy looked with childish fury at the one who had killed the Saibaman, his opponent, his toy.

Then, Vanie's voice cut through the air, loud, serious, and imbued with the authority not just of a mother, but of someone who had extinguished countless civilizations: "Enough, boy. Never turn your back on an enemy you haven't confirmed is defeated." Her gaze pierced him, conveying that she wouldn't hesitate to engrave this lesson into his mind in the most agonizing way imaginable.

He retorted: "I know, I was an idiot, but I was still having fun because you kil—" he truly knew, he'd had this experience before, it was what had killed him in his past life, but before he could finish, he staggered forward and his mother caught him. "I understand," he mumbled, his voice weak. She picked him up. "I'll take you to the infirmary. Once you recover, we'll train other things. But for now, you can sleep." The young Saiyan nodded slightly and closed his eyes.

As Vanie carried him towards the infirmary, she murmured: "You are strong, boy, and I will turn you into the greatest Saiyan warrior our race has ever known."
