Riven stared at the message, confused. For some reason, the system had detected a new zone that he didn't know about, and in about 10 seconds he would be tossed in for a Trial?
'What are the odds.'
Right before the timer reached one, he said with his last strength, loud enough for Veyla to hear:
"Something might happen, but don't panic. I'm not sure where I'll be taken, but if my consciousness is eventually the only thing taken, please guard my body."
And without a response from her, the timer hit zero, and his mindscape was immediately tossed into a whole new different location.
He was falling endlessly in white clouds. It seemed like a repeated action because he always saw the very same clouds and orbs each time he fell, and he never seemed to land—or maybe it was because he had just started falling.
