Chapter 58: Tethered in Hunger II

(Selene's View)

Night had thickened around the ruined world. The silence was a blanket, broken only by the occasional crackle of dying embers in the hearth and the slow, steady hum of the storm pressing against the boarded windows.

Selene sat in shadow, unmoving.

She had stood watch for hours after Aria fell asleep. Or pretended to. The girl had been restless again—more than usual. Her breath shallow, body curling and uncurling beneath threadbare blankets, as if even sleep could no longer contain her.

Selene could hear everything. Every stifled gasp. Every tremor. Every cry caught just behind clenched teeth. She had heard it for days. Weeks. Dream after dream. Hunger that turned feral, worse with each passing night.

And Selene… she had let it fester.

Watched the torment grow in her—watched Aria try to fight it, reason with it, tame it. But hunger didn't answer to logic. And what was blooming inside her wasn't human need alone.

Selene had suspected for a while. The heat in Aria's body. The way she could never sleep. The way she came undone at the faintest breath, the softest tease. Selene hadn't even touched her.

And still… Aria begged in her sleep.

Selene had let her starve.

Because she wanted her to break.

To choose.

Not from manipulation—but because she was ready to surrender.

And tonight?

Selene's gaze shifted toward the bed.

Tonight, Aria's body had begun to tremble again—shaking, twitching under the blankets. Her moans were breathless now, not even held back. Her legs shifting, hips arching, mouth parting in wordless pleas.

Selene rose.

Soundless. Controlled.

She crossed the space between them like a ghost, crouching beside the bed. Moonlight filtered in through the cracks in the ceiling, falling over Aria's flushed face. Her skin glowed with sweat. Her lashes trembled. Her thighs shifted restlessly beneath the cover, parting without her even realizing it.

Selene's breath caught.

Enough.

She had waited long enough.

Her fingers ghosted over Aria's cheek—gentle, reverent. Aria stirred, whispering her name, a sigh shaped from longing and pain.

"Selene…"

Her voice was so broken, so lost.

Selene leaned close, pressing her lips just beneath Aria's ear. "I'm here," she whispered.

Aria gasped awake—but didn't flinch.

Hmmm—-

Her eyes flew open, wide and dazed. Her pupils dilated. Her body was already arched toward her like it had been waiting for this—only this.

"S-Selene?" she choked out, blinking furiously, chest rising and falling.

"I know, little one," Selene murmured, cupping her jaw. "You've waited long enough."

Aria made a sound—half-sob, half-whimper. Her hands clutched at the blankets, then at Selene, desperate.

Selene didn't hesitate.

She leaned in, kissing her.

Deep. Sure. Claiming.

Aria melted immediately—like something shattered inside her, the dam breaking with a flood of need so fierce it nearly knocked Selene back. She kissed like she was starving. Like she hadn't been able to breathe without her.

Aira whimper to Selene's touch..

Selene pushed the covers away, slow and deliberate. Aria's tank was soaked through. Her underwear clung between her thighs, drenched. She trembled when Selene peeled it aside.

"I can't—" Aria gasped, voice shaking. "I can't take it anymore."

"I know."

Selene kissed down her neck, her collarbone, her ribs—slow and torturous.

Aria arched, begging.

"Please…"

Her voice cracked. Her hands fisted the sheets.

Selene didn't tease. Not now. She slid lower, settling between Aria's trembling legs.

And then—tongue.

Soft at first. Barely a breath. Then deeper. Firmer. Devastating.

Aria screamed.

It wasn't a moan. Not just. It was everything that had been locked in her for weeks. Months. Her entire soul torn open by Selene's mouth. Her hips jerked up, her hands flew to Selene's hair, her thighs locked around her head—

But Selene didn't stop.

She licked into her like it was instinct. Like she knew her—every rhythm, every tremor, every breath. She played her like a weapon, drawing moan after moan, scream after scream from her lips.

"Selene—!" Aria's voice cracked. "I—Selene, I—!"

She came.

Hard.

Body convulsing. Hips bucking. Mouth open in a wordless cry.

And Selene didn't stop.

She kept going.

Slower now. Deeper. Surer.

Aria tried to pull away—but Selene held her. Not with force. With control. With dominance that was quiet and absolute.

"You're not done," she murmured against her.

"No—please—I—"

Selene gave her no escape.

A second orgasm hit her like lightning.

This one louder. Looser. Aria screamed—raw, animal, desperate.

Her hands clawed at the mattress. Her head tossed. She didn't even know where she was anymore. Only Selene. Only her mouth. Only her voice, soft and lethal.

"You were made for this," Selene whispered against her folds. "Made for me."

Aria sobbed.

Her body collapsed—but Selene wasn't finished.

She gave her a third.

Slower. Thicker. A deep, rolling wave of ecstasy that left Aria clinging to her, moaning and whispering things she didn't even know she was saying.

"I—I need—I can't—"

Hmmmm—-mmmm—-yes

More—-don't stop…

"I know."

Selene finally pulled back.

Aria was shaking. Eyes glazed. Mouth swollen from all the gasps and kisses. Her legs trembled uncontrollably, twitching even without touch.

Selene crawled up beside her, pulling her close, wrapping her arms around her.

Aria latched on.

Tears slid silently down her cheeks—but her face was at peace. Utter peace. Her chest still rose and fell fast, but the hunger had dulled. Satisfied. Melted.

"Why?" Aria whispered.

Selene brushed the damp hair from her brow. "Because you needed it. Because I needed to give it to you."

Aria swallowed. Her lips brushed against Selene's neck.

"That was real," she whispered. "It was more real than anything."

Selene didn't speak.

She didn't need to.

Aria was already asleep—head on her chest, limbs tangled around her, skin warm and slick.

But she wasn't trembling anymore.

No more craving.

No more dreams.

Just silence. Steady breathing. Peace.

For the first time in weeks, Aria slept.

Selene held her close, resting her chin on her head.

And as the storm outside faded into quiet, Selene let herself close her eyes.

She had given her what she needed.

What only she could give.

And now… now Aria would never hunger for anyone else again for now…
