Chapter 10 - Plague Dungeon

Luke stared at a gate that was embedded into a mountain; this was a dungeon gate, which led to the plague dungeon. "Alright, first dungeon here I come," He said in a very cringeworthy way before adding, "I felt so cringe after saying that".

'I hope Samuel is not angry that I left the manor to go into a dungeon alone,' He thought. He had run away from the manor as soon as Kali found the dungeon and reserved the right; he had written a note telling Samuel not to worry, and that he had gone into a dungeon to practice.

{Wayne Manor}

The note in Samuel had been cut into many pieces; in fact, everything in the room was cut into pieces. Samuel has an affinity for bladed weapons, not only swords, but everything that has a cutting edge. He had awakened it today and went to share the news with his friend, only to find that he had gone into the single most dangerous place on earth to challenge it without any guards. 'If he comes out alive from it, I will have sure to deliver him to the death god myself.' He thought.

{Plague Dungeon}

Luke went in for the first floor, he was taken in a light as he appeared on a platform with a protective magic circle on it. The floor was exactly what you expect from the Plague dungeon; it was unkept, and green grass grew on the walls. A single road was the only place where the green grass grew, as everywhere else, something grew, some plants were green, some purple, and some were not even plants but weird goo. "I guess this is to be expected," Luke said as he stepped down from the platform.

The movement he stepped out of the protective shield, a blur went to him, and he was only able to dodge in the nick of time. His cheeks have a shallow cut as a normal-sized grasshopper appeared in front of him. "You are very fast for a grasshopper, aren't you?" Luke said as it disappeared into a blur again, but Luke was prepared as golden energy appeared around him to create a shield.

The grasshopper hit the shield and was deflected, he was standing front of him as it chipped in a lound voice "Crrrrr!"

"What was that suppose to be?" Luke said as he shot a finger blast of energy killing the grasshopper and darkning the ground where it hit. 'I am still to weak to release stronger blast' He thought, just as he was about to move on he looked up. A uncountable amount of green was looking at him, like a predator to a prey, they were all grasshopper. "Oh my god."

They all vanished into a blur of movement, Luke immediately powered his shield more as he was attacked from every direction. He poured all his concentration onto the shield and shot a steady beam of energy through the grasshopper swarm, although they looked like it didn't matter, as the number of grasshoppers was so great. The shield started to have cracks appear on it as Luke stared in disbelief, his mind immediately went through anything he could to scavenge this situation.

'What to do? Think Luke think.' Luke thought to no avail as the energy barrier got weaker, 'The platform, it has a strong defensive barrier,' He thought as he looked back to see no platform. 'Wait, it was supposed to be right here.' He thought. Just then, as if to mock him, the grasshoppers parted ways to show a trail of dirt, which proved that Luke had moved from his original position and into the dungeon floor.

"Fuck!" Luke muttered as he was again swarmed by grasshoppers amongst the darkness which engulfed him, the only source of light being the golden barrier, which was cracking further by the second. The original small crack is now a large crack that stretches across the barrier, it was soon about to break. "Well, it is now or never. If I die, I hope to get reincarnated again with this ability, please." He said.

Luke focused as he pointed towards one end of the darkness, and he focused as a golden energy ball formed on his finger. It grew brighter and brighter as the golden barrier grew smaller and smaller, the cracks more profound. Finally, he shot the beam a large beam of golden light 10 feet high and 3 feet thick through the grasshopper. It created an opening from one side which Luke used fully as he ran using the energy to propel himself.

The grasshopper didn't quit as they followed him, and the speed at which the grasshopper moved was nearing breaking the sound barrier, as Luke saw them coming closer and closer to him. He pressed forward as he thought, 'I can't die here, not like this. I need to be alive to become the future strongest in the world, so move!'

Just then, time slowed as he put one step forward, his legs, arms, chest, and his entire body glowed with a golden light as his form turned from a solid to a liquid kind of state. The one step caused him to run further than the grasshopper could even imagine, as a sonic boom was left behind, the pure shockwave caused many of the grasshoppers to be killed instantly, the ground there didn't even have grass anymore.

Luke himself was in shock as he viewed the world in a golden light, as space was moving faster, so time was moving slower. He looked around as he could see the world in slow motion, drops of goo seemed frozen in place as if time had stopped. 'What in the world?' This very thought pulled Luke out of the state as he tripped and skidded to a stop. He got up and pulled himself onto the platform. In the protective shield, he looked at his wounds, which were healing slowly but surely with the golden energy.

The majority of his wounds are from the skidding rather than the grasshopper, like his broken arms, which healed themselves together, and he could feel it. 'This hurts like shit, but still better than dying in a random dungeon. Holy fuck do I feel this though.' Luke thought as he gritted his teeth together. After a while, the broken arms and all his wounds healed as he was now able to focus thought 'What was that? I was going like the speed of sound.'

"Whatever it was, it saved my life. Maybe I could go into it again if I focused hard enough." He thought out loud as he got up and went back inside, this time more focused and, not that he noticed, much stronger.
