Charge! Charge! Charge!!
Yi Tianxing roared inwardly, surging forward with the force of his Origin Qi. The Ancestral Dragon plunging into the water seemed divinely empowered. Even without true qi, the dragon's serpentine motion allowed for impressive speed, minimizing the oppressive pressure coming from the Origin Qi.
Still, that invisible pressure was incredibly uncomfortable.
It felt like swimming upstream in a raging river—each meter forward was a monumental challenge, both physically and mentally. The strain on his inner energy and willpower was immense.
This was an extreme trial.
Many cultivators couldn't withstand this test. They would falter beneath the Divine Spring, forever stuck at the third tier of the Divine Sea Realm. This was a threshold that filtered out those lacking resolve—denying them entry into the ranks of the strong.
Yet this pressure didn't deter Yi Tianxing. In fact, it was well within what he could endure.
His childhood experiences had forged a willpower far beyond the ordinary. From a young age, he could perceive all sorts of strange phenomena, and the constant tempering of his spirit had made him nearly unshakable—as long as the sensations didn't kill him outright. Few things could now shake his heart or will.
So, within the meridian riverways, the Ancestral Dragon bit down on the Origin Qi and surged toward the Divine Sea.Its speed was far from slow.
No one knew how much time passed, but eventually, the Ancestral Dragon pierced into the Divine Sea, once again coiling above it.
Then, it made a curious move.
Opening its mouth, it spat out the ball of Origin Qi.With a resonant dragon's roar, it unleashed a beam of chaotic divine light, filled with mysterious runes, which then merged into the Origin Qi.
Whoosh!!
The Origin Qi began to transform before his very eyes, surging violently.
Through continuous change, it finally condensed into a chaotic, illusory spring the size of a human head. Mist rose from it, and within, an invisible tunnel seemed to lead to some mysterious place. From that tunnel, streams of Heaven and Earth spiritual energy poured forth.
All the gathered energy naturally flowed into this illusory spring. Guided by the Ancestral Dragon's movements, torrents of spiritual energy spiraled, entering its body and emerging as strands of True Dragon Qi, which were then infused into the Divine Sea.
This process appeared to be endless and uninterrupted.
The spring constantly absorbed Heaven and Earth energy, transforming it into mist that lingered above the Divine Sea. Even the absorption rate of energy through his meridians seemed to accelerate under the influence of the spring.
The effect was astonishing. Now, spiritual energy would accumulate naturally above the Divine Sea. With focused cultivation, it could be rapidly refined into true qi. And any depletion of true qi during combat could now be instantly replenished by this gathered energy—removing the need for lengthy recovery.
It enabled sustained combat without pause.
Exhale...
As the Origin Qi transformed into a spring, Yi Tianxing let out a long breath. A deep sense of relief filled him. He could instinctively feel a closer connection to the world.
The spring acted as a gateway—a channel linking his body to the surrounding Heaven and Earth. His ability to absorb energy had skyrocketed.
"Amazing. The first stage of the Divine Spring is truly extraordinary. Previously, Heaven and Earth energy would pool only within the meridian rivers. But now, with the spring, not only can I directly draw energy from the outside world, it even pulls the meridian energy with it into the Divine Sea. The mist above the sea accumulates steadily, and consumed true qi is immediately replenished."
True qi, once formed, would not disappear unless deliberately spent in large-scale techniques or to nurture the meridians. Even when "depleted," it simply became faint and insubstantial—ready to recover quickly with a fresh influx of energy.
Before this, he would've had to slowly gather and recover that energy.
But now, with abundant spiritual energy already hovering above the Divine Sea, it was possible to replenish depleted true qi instantly.
This transformation meant that as long as he didn't burn through energy too rapidly, his true qi could be virtually endless.
The difference between having a Divine Spring and not having one was like day and night.
New Realm Reached: Divine Sea Realm – Fourth Tier
Yi Tianxing felt elated. This breakthrough had allowed him to shake off a heavy, invisible shackle. Now, he could even momentarily hover in the air when running at full speed—a byproduct of his connection to the surrounding spiritual energy. Even his body felt as though it were about to take flight.
One more realm, one more world. Every breakthrough opened up a brand-new horizon.
Meanwhile, deep within a remote valley, inside a dense forest...
The growls and shrieks of wild beasts echoed, filled with violence. The air reeked of blood.
A massive tiger pounced on a muscular boar, snapping its neck in a spray of blood.A vulture swooped from the skies, lifted a sturdy antelope, and dropped it from high above, killing it on impact. A swarm of rodents burst from underground, stripping a beast's corpse to the bone in seconds—even the bones bore bite marks.
Tigers fought wolves in brutal clashes.
Here, every creature had undergone a transformation. Bathed in the ambient energy of Heaven and Earth, even ordinary beasts had grown larger, stronger, and more vicious. Some began awakening bloodline divine abilities, their primal instincts sharpened. Their reproductive capabilities also grew terrifying.
Each day was a cycle of slaughter and survival.
Only the strong survived.
Deep in this forest, without warning, a patch of earth collapsed, revealing a pitch-black hole. It looked like a massive swarm of rats had tunneled through from below.
That gaping hole radiated a chilling aura. Wisps of black mist seeped out from the darkness.
A giant tiger approached, eyes sharp, inspecting it warily. But in the next moment, its fur bristled, tail tucked between its legs, and it bolted in the opposite direction—a clear sign of pure terror.
Something within that darkness terrified even a predator like it.Not daring to pause, it ran for its life.
Beasts always sense danger before it strikes.Their instincts are honed by nature—when something threatens their existence, they run.
And in that darkness, the ominous hole remained still—deep, black, and unnaturally quiet.
Yet nothing emerged from it. Not yet.
