Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Talks with Daenerys

[3rd POV]

Sitting across from Daenerys, Wanda began to listen as the woman spoke.

"I was planning on naming you as my personal advisor, someone who will guide me in the future, a position that will be more important than the Hand, or any council members that I might get in the future. You'd be my right hand woman, as some would say" Daenerys explained, as Wanda listened to her.

'Hmm, interesting. Such a position sounds like it would include a lot of duties, most of which I will not have the time to take part in, with my store. But...maybe a clone will be the right method of doing this? It won't be used for anything besides traveling around Planetos, and helping Daenerys, so it should be fine to make one. And with my mind, I'll be able to control it casually. And it's not like I'll use it to do anything to crazy" Wanda thought with a hum, contemplating the advisor position and what it would entail.

"And when do you plan on sailing to Westeros, Daenerys? As the longer you wait, the more of a threat that those North of the Wall become, and trust me, you must be as strong as possible before the time comes" Wanda asked, causing Daenerys to furrow her eyebrows.

"Those North of the Wall? What could possibly be beyond the wall that is a threat? Is it the free folk?" Daenerys asked, genuinely lost. Her knowledge on the happenings of Westeros was pretty much nothing, as she simply didn't have the influence for such a thing. She had no spy ring or anything like that, that would give her the means to know these sorts of things.

"No, Daenerys. I speak of the White Walkers, and the Night King" Wanda replied, which got an even more befuddled look out of Daenerys.

"White Walkers? The Night King? But those were only myths, legends, scary tales that parents told their children, correct? They cannot possibly be real, can they?" Daenerys asked, as she didn't seem to believe her own words, now that Wanda had brought it up, someone who seemed to know pretty much everything.

"They are, Daenerys. And they will be coming for the world of man soon enough. Your dragons are instrumental to defeating them and their leader, the Night King. Just as instrumental as Dragon Glass and Valyrian Steel will be, for it is only weapons with those as their blades that can kill the Night King and his White Walkers" Wanda explained patiently to the unknowing woman, who would need to prepare thoroughly for what was to come in the future.

Wanda wasn't sure who the "Azor Ahai" was, but she suspected that it was between Daenerys and her nephew, Jon Snow. The man in question likely had a Targaryen name, but she highly doubted it was Aegon, for there was already an Aegon Targaryen when he was born.

She doubted that the world that Daenerys was from, would be so...easy. There is simply no way that someone like Arya Stark would be able to kill the Night King, and it would be up to Daenerys to make sure he dies. And Wanda would be there to help her achieve that, alongside her other goal for the throne.

As long as she gets her payment of course. Afterall, there are so many books that she wanted from the world of A Song of Ice and Fire.

"...And what should I do? How do I possibly prepare for the arrival of the dead? How can I handle taking the Iron Throne, dealing with the Lannisters and Baratheons, and killing the Night King and his White Walkers? There is simply no way I can juggle it all at once" Daenerys said with a sigh, leaning back in the chair, realizing that her job was going to be much more difficult than she had initially anticipated.

She thought taking the Throne would be relatively simple, with her having three dragons that would be able to take down any army that could be fielded. It would take dozens of scorpions shooting at her dragons, and a very lucky shot, for them to be taken out of a fight, and as long as Daenerys trained more in controlling and flying her dragons, then even those shouldn't be a threat to her.

"You prepare the best you can, you plan the best you can. You grow your armies and expand your territories in Essos. There are cities with people that will aid you in their conquering, and there is one such city quite close to where you are at the moment" Wanda replied, remembering one of the most powerful cities in Essos, as well as one of its oldest, born from the Valyrian Freehold thousands of years ago.

"You can't possibly mean that you wish for me to conquer Volantis? One of the Free cities? The strongest of them, with only Braavos comparing?" Daenerys said with an incredulous expression, the idea of conquering such a city was...terrifying.

"The Followers of the Lord of Light will aid you, Daenerys. That much I am quite certain. Your dragons will be enough to wipe out any army they field, and with the conquering of Volantis, you will be freeing tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of slaves. Not only that, but you will gain access to a massive influx of soldiers and ships, all of which you will need. But what will be even more important, is the wealth that the city holds, wealth that will be yours once you conquer it" Wanda explained.

"...And what of the reactions of the other free cities? Myr, Lys, Tyrosh, none of them will let it stand, except maybe Braavos. The political fallout of such a conquest could bring ruin to what I have built" Daenerys responded.

"Then you will simply need to conquer them as well. It wouldn't be difficult, once you have the forces of Volantis and your dragons. And with them under your banner, retaking the Iron Throne will be all that much easier" Wanda said in response, shrugging at the woman's concern.

"...Are you certain that that is a good idea? I just fear the consequences that it may bring, should I begin to conquer cities within Essos, more than I already have" Daenerys responded.

"You wish to free slaves and break the wheel, right? You wish to be the breaker of chains, correct? This is how you do it, Daenerys. I have only just met you, but I understand that even when you become Queen, you will still wish to free slaves, and conquering the major slave cities would greatly lower that amount. Especially Volantis, hell, I'd even suggest conquering Qarth too, but I believe it best to focus on the Free Cities in the beginning. And should you play your cards right, then I estimate that you will be able to leave for Westeros within two to three years, more than enough time to conquer the cities and consolidate your power" Wanda calmly explained, understanding the woman's concerns, as they were all valid.

"...Alright, once I gain total control over Slavers Bay, we will look to the West, towards Volantis and the other free cities that will band together to fight me. And once I have them underneath me, Westeros shall be next" Daenerys said, after a few minutes of quiet thought, contemplating what this would mean for her growth, and her conquest of Westeros.

Wanda smiled, pleased.

"Good, now, let's talk about what this would all entail, shall we?"

Later in the day, after Daenerys had returned back to her world, leaving Wanda alone. She ended up shutting down the shop for the day, instead opting to go upstairs and watching some movies with Raven, who had been focusing more on her personal training over the past few days, so she hadn't really seen her much.

She had been growing rapidly thanks to the training she was undergoing, and thanks to the influx of more and more books on magic and training. As well as Wanda consistently training her every single day, or at least, pretty much every single day.

The growth was impressive, and Wanda made sure that Raven knew that.

At the moment Wanda was sitting next to Raven, watching tv as her protege slept next to her, peacefully snoring in her sleep as she leaned against the amused Wanda. This had been a regular occurrence over the past few weeks, and Wanda was beginning to enjoy it more and more.

Glancing back from Raven to the TV, her eyebrow shot up as she watched the headline, which was talking about a fire in DC, one that the League had shown up to.

Reading the headline, Wanda spread her gaze to where they were, understanding filling her, as a small smirk formed on her face, and one thought was one her mind.

'...And so it begins~'
