Summer Sutton quietly listened to the interview on TV, her fists clenched tightly.
The people on TV were her uncle and cousin.
The company being mentioned wasn't the family business passed down from her grandfather, but the one Summer's father had founded himself.
Before Summer was five, her father was always in charge of the company. That year, her father passed away in a car accident, and somehow her uncle took over.
The company was her father's hard work, the past achievements he had through numerous struggles.
In Summer's heart, the company belongs to her father!
After the founding, it was only her father who bled and sweated. Her uncle didn't contribute any funds. So why did everything go to her uncle once her father passed away?
What's more, the Sutton Clan didn't improve after being taken over by him. The once glorious Sutton Clan could stand shoulder to shoulder with top large groups domestically and internationally, but now its glory has faded.
She definitely needs to help her father take back the company!
Yet, at the thought of reality, Summer's fighting spirit diminished quite a bit.
After her father passed, it was her grandfather who took care of her.
When she was fifteen, her grandfather also passed away, leaving Summer without any support.
Her uncle and aunt never considered her to be part of the Sutton Family; they never took care of her.
Over the years, even her tuition was earned by herself through part-time work while studying.
How could someone like her have the ability to take back her father's company?
Amidst her gloom, Adrian Walyon's voice sounded again, "What are you standing there for? A signpost?"
Summer snapped back to reality, feeling downcast and not in the mood to bicker with him.
Adrian's gaze flickered to the TV screen, listening to the interview on the news, his handsome face icy and stiff.
He seemed unwilling to see the two people on the news either. With a "click," he turned off the TV, tossed the remote onto the sofa, and turned into the dining room.
Summer turned her head to look at him, silently observing him.
The things Adrian said last night had a huge impact on her.
To suddenly have an impending husband out of nowhere — it's hard for anyone to digest that.
Either way, she and Adrian didn't know each other at all; she couldn't possibly marry him.
She had to find a way to leave here!
Casually walking towards him in the dining room, watching him eat quietly, she tentatively said, "You know, I haven't graduated yet, I can't stay here all the time, I have to go back to class."
"Your school is currently on a break." Adrian stated expressionlessly.
Summer, "..."
He even knows that?
"I'm doing a part-time job, I need to go to work!" Summer continued finding excuses to leave.
"How much is your daily wage? I'll pay you double!" Adrian continued eating leisurely, without lifting his head.
Summer was once again left speechless by him.
So she can only stay here until her birthday comes, and then go get a marriage certificate with him?
Summer's mind whirled, trying to persuade him again, "I'm still a student, Mr. Walyon, don't you feel any guilt for marrying a budding flower?"
Even though she's a college student, a college student is still a student!
"A twenty-year-old budding flower?" Adrian sneered at her with disdain, "I call it cherishing!"
Diligently every night, ensuring she becomes more and more radiant!
"..." Summer's face turned hot, cursing under her breath, "You're really a beast!"
"This Miss Sutton can feel more deeply after we get married!" Adrian lifted his face, not ashamed at all.
Summer was once again at a loss for words because of him.
Can she refuse to feel it?
