With the edge of Cairo's blade pressed against his neck, the Blade Fangs Swordsman didn't dare to move. He gritted his teeth, enduring the sting from the Catkin's sword even as it drew blood.
"I-I think we are having a misunderstanding here," the Scout of Jarik's party said. "Why don't we all back down and talk this out in a civil way?"
Cairo ignored the Scout, his attention solely on Alex. "Disciple, explain the situation."
Alex nodded. "Master, this group is called the Blade Fangs. They like to target newbie Adventurers. They steal all their victims' items and, if they feel like it, kill them as well."
"What nonsense are you talking about?!" Jarik yelled, still struggling to open his eyes after getting hit by powdered chili and pepper. "We have never done such a thing! Where is your evidence?!"
"Evidence?" Cairo narrowed his eyes. "All of you reek of blood. It isn't from a monster… You killed a human just an hour ago, didn't you?"
