Chapter 129 - Chapter 129: Because I Want to Kill

"Speak! Who's your superior?" Qin Yang demanded.

Such formations and fortifications could never be the work of this man before him.

The black-robed middle-aged man gazed at the headless corpses covering the ground, their blood pooling into a crimson sea. He burst into a maniacal laughter.

He finally recalled the warning he'd been given - never to act against the Celestial Academy.

But now, it was too late.

"I won't tell you!" the man roared, his face twisted in malice. "From this day forth, you'll live in the shadow of fear! Even as a Celestial Academy student, they can't protect you now!"

Qin Yang's divine sense surged. The black-robed man's body exploded into a bloody hail of ice shards.

His fists clenched, Qin Yang unleashed the full power of the Ground-Shaking Fist.

Massive true qi fists rained down, obliterating the Heaven-Stealing Life-Transferring Array and reducing the entire underground palace to rubble.

As the structure collapsed, Qin Yang departed.

Returning to the cave entrance, he collapsed it behind him. The white-haired elder guarding the entrance turned ashen. This brat escaped unscathed? And destroyed the entire stronghold?

"Haha! Just wait for the bitter vengeance to come! Everyone you care about will meet the same fate as you know..."

The words died on his lips as Qin Yang's foot crushed his skull.

His figure transformed into a divine dragon as he raced toward Fanxing City.

The entire city was in an uproar, with some people going mad searching while others remained coldly observing from the sidelines.

Several major factions had even joined forces, preparing to punish the Celestial Academy student.

The two inns near the Wanshan Chamber of Commerce were surrounded by these people. Zongshi Realm cultivators led the charge, the atmosphere tense and ready to erupt.

If it weren't for their fear of the Tian Swallowing Beast devouring everything in the main hall, they would have charged in long ago.

"Why are you blocking here instead of searching?" Qin Yang's figure suddenly appeared.

As he emerged, his classmates also came out.

"You're finally here! I couldn't control your Tian Swallowing Beast, and these people want to settle accounts with us," Jin Wanshan said.

"Settle accounts?" Qin Yang was taken aback. "What accounts?"

A white-haired old man stepped forward with a cold smile. "You killed some of my subordinates earlier. Since Celestial Academy can't discipline its students properly, we'll teach you a lesson!"

The middle-aged man leading another faction roared, "Think you're so tough now? Even Celestial Academy can't act like this in our territory!"

"Right! We're demanding answers! What right do you have to kill people?"

"If you don't kneel and apologize today, none of Celestial Academy's new students will..."

Qin Yang's figure suddenly vanished. When he reappeared, he held a severed head in his hand—the white-haired elder's head from earlier!

Everyone felt as if their necks were being crushed, struggling to breathe.

Cold air seeped down their spines, and some faces turned pale with fear.

Where was their earlier arrogant posturing?

"Who was asking about my right to kill?" Qin Yang scanned the crowd, picked his ear, and replied softly, "Because I feel like it. Are you satisfied with that answer?"

"You bastard! Do you think..." The middle-aged leader began to curse, but his body was split in two by a divine sword before he could finish.

Qin Yang's mood was dark—utterly dark!

These people had maintained friendly relations with the Guiyan Gang for years, yet who knew how many secret crimes they'd committed together?

Even those who hadn't directly participated were accomplices through their silence and complicity!

Recalling the evil formation within the underground palace and the young woman's resolute gaze, Qin Yang found himself unable to quell the fire burning in his heart.

"Did this guy come from hell?"

Suddenly, someone cried out in alarm: "Look at his shoes!"

Qin Yang wore ordinary black shoes, but from the soles upward, they were stained crimson—as if he had walked through a sea of blood.

"You're all gathered here. If you won't help, at least don't get in our way. Are you trying to cover for the Guiyan Gang?" Qin Yang demanded.

Everyone shook their heads in unison, not daring to make a sound.

"It doesn't matter now. You've already made your choice," Qin Yang said calmly.

"Choice? What choice have we made?" Terror gripped their hearts as they recalled Qin Yang's earlier words.

"Don't be afraid. He wouldn't dare slaughter the entire city, would he? If we stand together..."

The man's body was reduced to a bloody pulp before his words could finish.

A silent slaughter began, sending terror through the crowd.

Whichever person spoke first would be Qin Yang's first target.

Though they dared not utter a sound, they scrambled to flee. But how could they escape Qin Yang's grasp?

Hateful, merciless, brutal, cruel—these words could no longer describe Qin Yang's current state.

A hellish scene reappeared in Fanxing City, even more terrifying than before.

In the distance, those who hadn't participated in the purge trembled violently, as if under a spell that froze their movements. Seeing Qin Yang had no intention of attacking them, they hastily resumed their search for the missing student.

As if their own mother had been lost.

"I thought you were going to slaughter the entire city..." Jin Wanshan swallowed hard.

The classmates' gazes, which had initially held admiration, now overflowed with fear.

"Do you think I'm the type to kill innocents?" Qin Yang chuckled softly.

Everyone's minds simultaneously answered: "Yes..."

Qin Yang rolled his eyes and pointed at his head. "What do you think a Zongshi Realm master's divine sense is for?"

"I don't need to hear their words. Every expression on their faces, every glance, even the slightest movement of a hair in the wind—I see it all clearly."

At this point, Qin Yang said coldly, "Not a single damned person will escape."

As soon as he spoke, everyone retreated in unison. Some even whispered among themselves, "How far can a Zongshi Realm divine sense detect...?"

Lian Feng's face twisted with anguish. For Qin Yang to act like this, he must have failed to find Lin Wan'er. He slumped against the wall, watching the blood pooling on the ground form a crimson river.

"Brother Lian Feng!" Suddenly, a voice called from above.

Lian Feng shuddered violently, his head snapping upward as tears welled in his eyes. "Wan'er, are you alright?"

Martial Heaven's chest heaved as he surveyed the scene of destruction. His gaze shifted to Qin Yang standing amidst the blood-soaked streets.

"What exactly happened here?" Martial Heaven asked, his voice deceptively calm.

The deeper the calm, the more violent the impending storm.

"Our student went missing. You're asking me what happened?" Qin Yang countered with a question.

Martial Heaven's fists clenched until his knuckles cracked. He'd been gone for mere moments, and Qin Yang had nearly razed Fanxing City to the ground!

Lin Wan'er, escorted down by Martial Heaven, clung tightly to Lian Feng. The horrifying scene made her delicate frame tremble uncontrollably.

Her voice shook with fear. "I was lured into a black shop and taken to the mountains. Martial Heaven saved me. He found an enemy and wouldn't let me return alone, so he brought me with him."

She continued slowly, "Martial Heaven pursued the enemy relentlessly until he finally killed him in the Celestial Path. Then he rushed back here..."

So it had been a false alarm after all.

Lian Feng's face stiffened. Lin Wan'er was safe, but Martial Heaven's fury remained. What about Qin Yang?

"You'd better give me a satisfactory answer," Martial Heaven demanded, his voice low and threatening.

"Because they deserved to die. Satisfied?" Qin Yang replied without a trace of fear.

"Why did they deserve to die?" A vein pulsed on Martial Heaven's forehead.

"Because I said they deserved to die. That's why."
