Is it difficult to reach the Pure Land? For most ninjas, it certainly should be.
But the Djinn felt that the time hadn't yet come for him to take the lead.
Over time, he also discovered that Orochimaru's research had mainly focused on the "Impure World Reincarnation," particularly the technique that brings the dead back to life using forbidden jutsu. However, this technique had not yet caught Orochimaru's interest.
During this period, Orochimaru didn't need to destroy Konoha, nor did he lack combat power.
The Djinn always knew his position—he shared knowledge, offered ideas, and tried to serve as a small guiding force, but there was no real trust. Not being an evil god was already a form of "sustainable development" in his strategy.
The technique of the "Impure World Reincarnation" channels soul bodies into the ninja world. Thinking about it, the reverse should not be too difficult.
As for how to accomplish this, it would depend on Orochimaru.
Of course, the Djinn didn't know how to perform this process himself. If he knew, why would he need Orochimaru?
After the Djinn made his stance clear, the atmosphere grew tense and quiet.
The evening wind blew gently, and Orochimaru slightly closed his eyes, a flicker of light passing through his narrowed gaze.
What kind of evil god, what kind of dependence—these were just excuses. Orochimaru didn't believe that the Djinn was truly incapable of using wish-granting methods.
When the Djinn first awakened, the act of forcing a wish had been highly suspicious.
Orochimaru assumed it was a test of the Djinn's wish-granting abilities.
It could only be said that until the Djinn understood that making wishes consumed energy and understood the consequences of granting them, like in the case of the day difference, he wouldn't try again easily.
Orochimaru didn't think much of it; it was just a temptation, a way to test the Djinn's limits.
He was a pragmatist, and if there was an easier way forward, he wouldn't let it go. If it took a more difficult path, he wouldn't complain either.
However, the idea the Djinn had provided was indeed interesting. Orochimaru had heard of the "Impure World Reincarnation" and remembered it was a forbidden technique created by the second Hokage.
The old man likely had some records about it, but there was no need to rush.
Orochimaru raised his head, looking at the Djinn with curiosity. "you mentioned a 'Soul Realm' before. Could it be that you've been to a world similar to the Pure Land?"
"I can only say it's similar," the Djinn replied, nodding.
"However, don't expect too much help from me. The Soul Realm's host wasn't ideal, and I didn't gain much ability from it."
Omaeda Nozomi, though revered as a 'former god,' was on par with Otsutsuki clan. But from the Djinn's perspective... he was just a good person, and his sister was impressive too.
After learning about the Djinn's past host in the Soul Realm, Orochimaru was a little surprised. "That's strange. With your nature, I would have thought you'd choose a host with more potential."
"It's not surprising," the Djinn responded. "I didn't choose the previous host, and they weren't even human."
"Among the three worlds, only the host from the last world could barely be called the protagonist, but if I had a real choice, I would have preferred his sister."
The Djinn smiled. "If I'm honest, you're the first host I ever chose."
"That's really unfortunate..." Orochimaru said with a hint of regret.
The saying goes, "The predecessors plant trees, and the descendants enjoy the shade." Yet, unexpectedly, Orochimaru found himself in the position of planting the trees.
However, this thought was soon dismissed by Orochimaru. It was precisely because the Djinn needed someone to plant the trees that he had sought him out. Their relationship was one of mutual benefit.

Time passed quickly. The Konoha Ninja Army had been recuperating and reorganizing within the fortress, and three days had already gone by in the blink of an eye.
Thanks to the efforts of top medical ninjas like Orochimaru, although many of the wounded were seriously injured and required time to heal, there had been no casualties.
With Kumogakure's forces retreating fully into the Land of Thunder and publicly declaring their defeat, the Konoha Ninja Army had finished securing their strongholds and had no further reason to remain in the area.
Before returning to Konoha, however, one urgent matter needed to be addressed.
—The issue with Shisui's eyes.
While the blind Mangekyō Sharingan was still considered a valuable treasure, its presence would surely lead to disputes once back in the village. Many would try to use the village's authority to influence individual will.
Thus, this matter needed to be resolved quickly to prevent complications later.
After some coordination and discussion, Uchiha Fugaku obtained the approval of the clan, and Shisui was provided with a new pair of Sharingan.
The eyes came from a fallen Uchiha Jōnin who had perished during the previous battle.
This particular Uchiha had no surviving parents, siblings, or close relatives—making the process far less likely to stir up controversy.
Fugaku had chosen this donor specifically to avoid any unnecessary complications in the future.
Though the Uchiha clan was united, they had a strong tradition of respecting the dead. If this situation were mishandled, it could easily lead to trouble.
As the patriarch of the Uchiha clan, Fugaku was known for his caution, and he wasn't about to make mistakes on such matters.

The medical room was crowded with onlookers.
Orochimaru stood at the operating table with Shisui lying in front of him, surrounded by a group of spectators.
The eye transplant was a relatively simple procedure. A medical ninja with some talent could perform it after a bit of training.
For Orochimaru, however, it was even easier.
Fugaku had specifically requested Orochimaru's presence, not because of the complexity of the operation, but to have him act as a witness for the procedure.
"Hehehe..." Orochimaru chuckled softly, his slender fingers moving with steady precision. The entire procedure took less than two minutes.
Shisui had a new pair of Sharingan installed and rested with bandages covering his eyes.
Orochimaru gave a few instructions for post-surgery care, then picked up the small container holding the transplanted Mangekyō Sharingan.
Everyone's eyes were drawn to it, and a strange brilliance seemed to emanate from the eyes.
The bloodline limit required mastery of two different chakra natures and their fusion to create advanced techniques. Even among those with bloodline abilities, not everyone could perform this.
Transplanting bloodline organs was far easier, and surgery like this was commonplace in the ninja world.
After hearing about Shisui's performance on the battlefield, many were coveting his new eyes, despite knowing they were on the verge of blindness.

"Orochimaru, what are you planning to do with these eyes?" asked Koharu, her voice laced with curiosity.
Orochimaru didn't respond to her but turned his focus to the Uchiha clan and their elders.
"The elder advisors disagree with physical enhancement surgery. However, Shisui's contribution during this war is undeniable. I ordered him to stop the two Jinchuriki. Now that he's blind, I can't leave him without help."
"I'll find other ways to restore his eyesight. What do you think?"
"Who is in favor, and who is opposed?"
