At that critical moment!
Ryuya appeared before Kizaru like a ghost.
Ryūjin Jakka appeared in Ryuya's hand.
Peak Armament Haki coated it!
Ryuya's blade slashed down on Kizaru's leg.
A powerful gust of wind erupted, spreading dust throughout the alley.
But it couldn't disturb the cloaks.
The cloaks billowed in the wind.
Robin, initially tense, relaxed upon seeing Ryuya.
As long as Ryuya was there, they were safe.
No one could defeat him!
Kizaru retracted his leg, smirking sarcastically, "Terrifying! I met Dawn Bird's leader."
Kizaru stood before CP9, seemingly protecting them.
But he was creating distance from Ryuya.
This would allow him to react to Ryuya's attacks.
He wasn't sure he could win against Zero.
"Admiral Kizaru, we don't want a fight. Let them go, and I'll pretend nothing happened."
Ryuya's voice was loud enough for nearby residents to hear.
They were relieved.
As long as there was no fighting or damage, they were thankful!
But then, a voice echoed, "Retreat is impossible! We won't show mercy to evil!"
Kizaru rolled his eyes.
This could have been handled easily.
A simple report to Sengoku would suffice.
But Akainu was trouble. Akainu's arrival meant Kizaru couldn't retreat.
Akainu would report to Sengoku!
And Kizaru might lose his pay.
This was unacceptable.
Ryuya looked at Akainu and Kizaru, amused.
Their presence would highlight Dawn Bird!
Then, a commotion started. The onlookers knew a battle was imminent!
Civilians knew Akainu's personality. He championed absolute justice. He wouldn't let Ryuya escape.
"Meet us at Water 7's highest point. I'll be there soon! Warn nearby residents to evacuate to higher ground! The biggest tsunami in history is coming!"
Ryuya told Robin and the others.
Though they didn't know his plan, they obeyed.
They headed towards the highest point.
Akainu, already stern, became even more imposing.
"You think that's possible?! "Meigo" (Hellhound)!"
Lava erupted from Akainu's arm. He launched it at Robin! It was incredibly fast!
Compared to his last fight with Ryuya, this attack was almost twice as powerful.
But it depended on the opponent! Meigo extended in the air.
As it neared Robin, Ryuya appeared behind her.
Ryūjin Jakka, without Armament Haki, sliced through Meigo.
Boom!
A loud sound echoed. Lava splashed onto buildings. Fire erupted. The civilians suffered.
"Akainu's a menace!"
"Even if it's not my house, Water 7 won't survive this!"
"Why does the Navy send Akainu? He's so disruptive!"
"I wish White Dove were here. He'd handle this!"
…
Civilians watched from afar. They were surprisingly brave!
Perhaps, facing annual tsunamis, they had developed incredible resilience!
Flames climbed the buildings. Ryuya used Ryūjin Jakka to extinguish them.
He looked at Akainu and Kizaru, smirking, "I advise you to evacuate. The biggest tsunami in history is coming!"
Akainu scoffed, "I won't believe you. 'Biggest tsunami in history'? You're trying to undermine the Navy's authority!"
Ryuya expected this. He had a plan!
"I promised someone I'd save Water 7. I'll do something more meaningful!"
Ryuya turned to leave. Akainu's anger erupted!
He had trained ten times harder, to avenge his humiliation at Ryuya's hands!
His target was before him. He wouldn't let Ryuya go!
Akainu leaped, lava surging, like a fiery meteor, charging at Ryuya.
The air shimmered with heat!
Seeing Ryuya's recklessness, Akainu smiled…
