Chapter 28 - Purpose #4

We walked together, our feet touching the cold marble floor of the palace, the weight of our equipment felt heavy on our backs, but our spirits remained high. As we descended to the lower floor, the servants lined up with respect, their eyes shining with loyalty.

"Take care on your journey, sir," said the servant I knew previously, his voice soft and full of concern. I replied with a warm smile, "Of course, sir." Zeco beside me greeted him with a gentle tone, "Thank you for your service, sir. I respect your loyalty."

We stepped out of the palace, the morning sunlight shone on our faces. Murphy waited for us in front, a faint smile on his face. I walked ahead, Zeco following behind me. I approached Murphy, looking at him with respect, "Thank you for everything, sir. It's time for me to leave." I said while bowing my head in respect.

Murphy grasped both my shoulders tightly, "Alright, kid. Take care of yourself." Zeco also greeted him briefly, "Sir, thank you for taking care of me until now. I don't know how to repay you." Murphy looked at Zeco with full affection, "My little brother Zeco, take care of him. I trust you, don't disappoint me. Give me one last hug." Zeco approached Murphy and hugged him tightly, Murphy stroked his hair gently.

"Alright, friends, I think we don't have much time, let's go!" Jack warned. However, a palace horse and carriage waited for us in front of the gate, "I want to help make it a bit easier for you." Murphy pointed out.

We sped towards the nearest port, the fresh wind hit our faces, and we were presented with a magnificent natural scenery. After a while, we saw the shine of sunlight from the bright blue ocean in the distance.

"Look, the ship is about to depart!" Jack exclaimed, our eyes fixed on the ship ready to sail. "Please, hurry up, we have to catch up to it." Carla urged the servant.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen. Please hold on tight." The servant replied, starting to speed up. "Hmm, I think we'll catch up to it." I said. "Calm down, Carla. Enjoy the journey." Isabella flew towards her.

"We're almost there, where would you like to stop, sir?" The servant asked. "I think near the ship would be best. These goods are very heavy." Jack replied.

The horse's steps slowed down, the port had arrived. We got off the carriage, one by one. "Hufft- thank goodness. Thank you, oh servant." Carla said. "Are you okay?" Isabella asked curiously. "Hmm, I think so. I just have a bad feeling since before we left." Carla replied.

*DEEEMMMMM.

The ship's bell rang, signaling its departure. "Have you ever been on a ship like this before, Zeco?" I asked him. "Of course, I often sailed with my siblings when I was a kid." Zeco replied. Carla came over and took a stack of tightly bound newspapers from a seat.

"Is there any news from Iceland? This is very strange." Carla said. "Hey, hey, hey. Don't you ever worry?" Jack said in a low tone. "Annoying, my mind is very chaotic right now." Carla stretched herself out on a nearby chair.
