With a vicious glint in his eyes, he swung his spear horizontally— the battered weapon bouncing off the carapace of the beast with a painful clang.
The beasts attacking him were really similar to a Tiger Beetle—except for the pattern on their back being sinister in place of enchanting.
They were a mixture of gloomy black and ominous purple— their eyes twin pits of darkness slightly illuminated by the red orbs as their pupils.
Well, that didn't matter much to him.
What really mattered was their size.
Each one was as big as a car, their bodies protected by durable carapace armor while their six legs ended with sharp pincers. They were really an abominable duo.
Tanking the attack of one with his Two Star armor he allowed himself to be thrown away by the attack as he quietly summoned Felise. The reserved shadow silently appeared behind him, her arrow nocked and ready.
