The protagonist.
The one whom which the world revolved around. A star of unparallel brilliance.
In a story they would be the sun to the solar system.
And right now such a significant entity sat across Art.
He was trying his best to hide it but right now he was extremely fumming in the inside.
To him meeting the protagonist was like meeting an idol.
He felt like how K-pop fans back on earth did when they meet their favourite pretty Korean idol.
One might ask why did he love the protagonist so much well it was because back when he saw a teenager he developed a tiny crush on her.
Back then he had just been introduced to anime culture by a friend and one of the many fanarts he saw on the internet was for Valarie, the unholy.
Her white hair was an instance eye-catching, her wild and savage eyes were thrilling to look at.
Her fierce and sarcastic demeanor was charming to many and her athletic but fragile figure denoted both strength and hints of vulnerability.
Even if he no longer considered himself a Valarie simp, he wouldn't deny back then he thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever since.
"So cute."
Now he just saw her as cute especially seeing her get so annoyed by how Grim was treating him.
She didn't know how and why occasional chocolate giving had evolved to her feeding him but it wasn't like he dislike it.
"Oh..miss Valarie it's a pleasure to meet you."
A charming smile followed his words as he pretend to now notice her.
"The feeling is not mutual." She responded her arms crossed.
"She's like a Chihuahua." Art thought since from his perspective Valarie was really short and seeing her act so serious made the sight quite funny.
"Tch...are you looking down on me?"
With a teeths clenched she grumbled seeing Art's softened expression.
It was like he was looking down on her. It was annoying for some reason.
"Woah you really got under her skin."
Grim whispered into Art's ears.
"Was that why you called?"
"Nono..I just wanted to confirm if you knew a way to get over trauma."
"Well I'll have to disappoint you but I don't."
"Really?"
With a low voice she exclaimed.
"Why the surprise?" Art wondered.
"Well you seem knowledgeable about the human psych so I thought if it was you, you can do that."
"I'm glad you have such faith in me but I can't even cure my own traumas what more that of other."
"Ah yes was it the one about Ws and Ks"
"Precisely." He nod, his complexation paling from the mere mentioning of the W which stood for witches in his dictionary.
"What a shame."
Disappointed Grim pulled back from him.
"Wait are you sad?"
"Yes, I really wanted to find an excuse to be at you service."
"Wait what?" Art gulped.
"Well I wanted to own you one but it seems..."
"I can do it."
With his reason shattering he interrupted as Grim lip curcled into a smile.
"I knew I could trust you."
With that she took her bag, then with a pat on his shoulder quickly fled.
"Wait!"
"No..no..no, you help her, then you call. That's that deal."
With a final wave she soon existed the cafe shop leaving Art at Valarie mercy.
"That woman tricked me."
Facepalming in dejection, he moaned in disappointment by how easily he had been seduced.
Just because of Grim he had broken his rule of not interacting with Valarie and because of her again he might have to change up his plans again.
From the beginning he knew Grim could never solved Valarie's problem. She just wasn't built for that kind of job but she could lessen it enough by providing Valarie comfort.
He plan wasn't to let Val get over her trauma just yet. If she did defeating Trish would be a breeze which will halt or atleast distort future development.
Valarie's character shined because she wasn't an underdog but an already strong individual now forced to be weak.
Losing to people she would have easily defeat without her mental block was suppose to strengthen her will and humanity for all the future changes she will go through.
Without a strong will, she would easily lose track of herself which had already grown enough to kill her self esteem.
For her development of a strong will, she needed to suffer defeat not the crashing kind but the one to build upon a challenge and rivalry.
She needed to understand just because she was weak now didn't mean she would be weak forever.
She needed to know strength wasn't just earned but worked for and with her being weak she had to train more than other until she will finally break her trauma.
Art was confident enough to know he could easily halt her trauma for a while but if he did, he also knew he would be denying her of most of her development.
She needed to fight Trish not as an equal but as an underdog.
She needed her weak persona for Trish to also understimate her allowing her just at the right instance to land a terrible blow on the crazy swordswoman.
Yes if she fought that swordswoman with her trauma she would undoubtedly lose but so too would she crashed Trish's pride by getting one over her.
"Should I really intervene just for my own pleasure."
Art was left wondering whether his decision would be right or wrong.
He thought about both options, the scenerio were he did cure her trauma and envisioned a unpredictable future and after that he took on the other scenerio were he didn't actually solve anything and let things play out as he had planned.
After carefully consideration and dozens of stimulations he came to the conclusion to do things his own way.
He wouldn't cure it but neither would he let it fully affect her.
This world was already unpredictable as it was, he wasn't sure he could fully safeguard a weakned Valarie but neither could he let her lose out on her development.
There were two important things Valarie needed for a development;a strong will and a firm understanding of her humanity.
Lacking in even one would be catastrophic for both him and the world especially ones she realizes she wasn't human.
