Chapter 38: The Surprise Collaboration Announcement
Scene 1: The News Drops
The practice room was filled with the usual hustle and bustle as Eclipse members finished up another long rehearsal session. Everyone was tired, but the group was making significant progress as they prepared for their upcoming tour and album release.
Sitting at the center of the room, Soyeon gathered the members for an unexpected meeting. They all paused, unsure of what was coming.
"I know you've been working hard," Soyeon began, her voice calm but carrying an air of authority. "But we've got some big news. There's a surprise collaboration coming up, and I wanted you to hear it from me first."
The room quieted, all eyes turning to Soyeon. Minjun was the first to speak, his curiosity piqued. "What kind of collaboration?"
Soyeon's lips curled into a slight smile. "Lunar, the girl group. They've been making waves, and we've been selected for a collaboration."
The members exchanged looks, a mix of surprise and intrigue on their faces. Jisoo raised an eyebrow. "Lunar? That's the edgy girl group with the fierce sound, right?"
"Yes," Soyeon affirmed, her eyes scanning the group. "We'll be working with them on a few projects. But it's not just about the music—Lunar's producer is coming in today to guide us through the collaboration."
The group was still processing the surprise announcement when they were told they'd meet the producer soon.
Scene 2: The Producer's Arrival
Later that day, as they gathered in the practice room, a new face entered the door. Favour Johnson, the renowned producer for Lunar, walked in. Her presence immediately captured the room's attention. She wasn't like any producer Eclipse had worked with before. Favour, a Black woman, had a commanding presence, and her aura was completely different from the standard industry figure. The moment she entered, it was clear she was both serious and knowledgeable.
"Hello, Eclipse," Favour said, her voice smooth yet confident. "I'm Favour Johnson, and I'll be guiding you through this exciting collaboration."
The members exchanged unsure glances, especially Taehyun, who was never one to trust new faces easily. He was skeptical, crossing his arms. "You're not like the producers we're used to. Are you sure you're up for this?"
Favour stood tall, unfazed by the skepticism in Taehyun's voice. "I'm not like the producers you've worked with before, and that's exactly why I'm here. We're about to push boundaries. Trust me."
The members of Eclipse weren't sure what to make of Favour's bold confidence, but Soyeon—their manager—seemed to approve. Even Jisoo, who was usually cautious about new ideas, gave a nod of acknowledgment, signaling that they were ready to see what Favour had in store.
