Chapter 81 - Ease In

A gift from the heart instead of from the wallet. Lucy's advice had proven true in ways that Tristan could not have even begun to imagine. For the first time in years he'd played the violin to somebody and had loved it. 

He had seen the joy in her eyes as he had serenaded her and he wanted to hold on to that memory for the rest of his life.

The violin had been a sound without words. But it was a sound that he felt had communicated his feelings well.

Now, even though he knew it was probably wishful thinking on his part, Tristan felt as though he were also carrying a piece of Ariel's heart with him by wearing the bracelet that she'd had made for him. The woven circle of melted down coins was honestly the cheapest thing that he owned. In fact it most certainly the cheapest thing that Tristan had ever owned in his life. 

But despite being worth literal peanuts. It was the most precious thing that Tristan had. His wife had had it made just for him, how could he not adore it.
