There was something about realizing that she liked her husband. Not in the platonic sense, but in the romantic let's kiss for real kind of way. That had nearly short circuited Ariel's brain.
But Ariel had a pretty good idea of when exactly she had begun to notice a change in her emotions towards him. It had started right around the time that Tristan had started showering her with affection even when there was no audience to do that for.
She knew that he was probably just staying in character.
But at the end of the day, Ariel was only human. She was just a simple woman who despite how vehemently she might deny it, she still believed in true love. How was she expected to just endure constant praises and compliments, without them having an effect on her.

"I love the way the light catches your eyes, when you laugh," Those were just a few of the sweet things Tristan now regularly said to her.
