Chapter 3 - Training with Draco

Rowan, in such awe due to the sheer size of the room failed to notice the behemoth of a man standing next to Connor, towering over him as if he were a child.

With light grey hair and dark red eyes, equipped with an all black cybernetic suit, large claw like hands and two very familiar vials on his chest, the two vials were the C-50x and the Quell drugs, ready to be injected into his body.

"Good day everyone, today I will be the one training you all"

His voice sounding very familiar to Rowan, who then asked Connor,

"Connor, is that by chance the boy that was trying to sleep?"

"Yes, that is Draco, is he not what you were expecting? We get that a lot, due to his size and strength we sometimes have him train the students, although he is much stronger than most of the people in the facility, honestly, outside of combat he isn't too productive or smart." Replied Connor, who sounded like he was trying to make a joke but missed the punchline entirely,

"How old is Draco? He looks as if he would eat me if I did something that would offend him." Asked Rowan,

"He may not look like it but he is actually quite kind despite his looks, if I'm not wrong, I think he was born with albinism so his eyes and hair differ from everyone else, oh look, someone went up to go train, I think you should pay close attention to this."

As Rowan shifted his attention towards Draco's training, he saw him only use up a small amount of the C-50x compared to how much Jacob did, making him ask Connor,

"Hey Connor, why is he using such a small amount?"

To which Connor responded,

"That version of the C-50x is actually less concentrated than the military grade stuff, which could kill you, this on the other hand can't kill you but will still cause the body to shut down if the Quell is not used, on that note, this version is made to last much longer, up to 2 minutes for better use"

As Rowan continued to focus on what was about to unfold, he saw as the what seemed to be the most lazy and uninterested person move like a mad beast, swiftly ,moving far faster than the average human, however, despite his opponent not using any of the drug, he was still following Draco's movements.

However, due to the large gap in both skill, strength and speed, Draco, who was moving like a crazed monster, grabbed him with his mechanical arms, and jumped full force into a wall, slamming his opponent so hard that he was knocked out on the spot.

"Hey! Draco! That was overkill you idiot!" yelled Connor,

"My bad!" Draco shouted back from the other side of the room, with his opponent still in his hand, pinned on the foam wall.

"This place is made of foam?" Rowan asked in a blind confusion,

"But wasn't it just metal a second ago? I just saw Draco jump off of it not even that long ago." He continued,

"Oh yeah, this place is made of an alloy that can be multiple substances in specific conditions, mainly if a child is being flung towards it, in fact, when we aren't using this room, we use it as a trampoline park for the younger kids, Seeing as we can also change the alloy's properties with different controls" Connor enthusiastically replied,

"hey Connor, has anyone ever told you that you talk a lot? And also what is a trampoline?" Rowan asked in a way that meant no harm but came off as harmful,

"oh.. yeah I've been told that a lot and also, a trampoline is like a-EYUHK"

As Connor got cut off by a boy flying directly into him after Draco threw them, knocking him into the wall, that didn't register him as a child, making him slam directly into a hard metal wall.

Getting up with a vial of less concentrated C-50x of his own, Connor injected it into his body and proceeded to blitz at Draco and slam him into the ceiling, which was made of ordinary concrete, letting his unconscious body fall back down onto the floor, that didn't register his giant frame as a child, causing him fall onto metal next, which in return woke him back up.

"uhhh…. Why man… it was an accident.." muttered Draco

"well you need to be more careful when training them, not all of us are built like a kaiju"

As Connor finished up his sentence, an ear ringing alarm went off,

"Emergency, this is not a drill, we are being attacked, I repeat, we are being attacked, this is not a drill"

"Fuck! Everyone, get the younger ones and get to the underground vault! Now!" Connor yelled at the top of his lungs, the giant room made of metal, amplifying the sound making it even more intense,

Before Rowan knew it, he was upstairs, running to get Emily, with everyone lacking far behind, he already had her in his hands, knowing he did not know where the vault was.

He had to wait for what felt like an eternity before he could follow someone into a giant hallway that was roughly 3 stories downward, Leading to an elevator that was open until everyone got into it.

Rowan had to hold onto Emily as she was crying, not knowing what was happening , during this, Rowan noticed that everyone was looking at Emily, specifically her hair, noticing that it was a bright shade of orange, Rowan realized that he hadn't thought about how unnatural it really was until that moment.

The elevator was still going down as the entire area rumbled as explosives shook the ground.

The elevator stated that it was 50 stories down and the buttons indicated that it could indeed go further, however, this floor was the vault.

The door opened revealing a decently sized room that had small sleeping bags stacked up in a corner.

"Yeah this is a normal thing that happens every now and then. We come down here every few weeks" said Parker,

"Hey! I'm still new here, I'm not used to this yet!" said a girl who Rowan had not seen prior.

Deciding not to question it, Rowan asks Parker about what is happening,

"Parker, what is happening up there, I still feel the tremors of the explosives"

"Nah don't worry that happens a lot, the building was meant to withstand much worse than a couple explosive devices" replied Parker,

"Hey, I think it's about time we take these out" said William, gesturing towards the pile of sleeping bags.
