As they ventured deeper, the trees around them grew taller and more tangled. Under the canopy that blotted out the sky, the light faded and silence thickened. The forest became increasingly dark and eerie.
Suddenly, Yu Yuanzhen stopped and pointed toward a distant bluish-gray boulder. "That stone is the nearly 30,000-year-old stone dragon. Several of our clan's elders have died at its hands."
It was called a stone dragon because it looked exactly like a boulder. But it was strange: despite its rocky appearance, it had no earth attribute. Its suction ability came from gravitational force, which disqualified it from being a wind-type either.
The clan only knew it was a dragon-type soul beast, but it didn't seem to belong to any known dragon subspecies.
Yu Tianming looked in the direction his grandfather pointed and saw a boulder over ten meters tall—about three stories high—nestled beneath a hundred-meter-tall tree. It was covered in moss, as if it had rested there for countless years.
It not only looked like a stone—in Yu Tianming's electromagnetic sense, it was a stone.
He couldn't help asking, "How did the clan discover this was a dragon-type soul beast?"
Yu Yuanzhen sighed and explained, "None of our elders realized it was anything but a rock—until one of our Soul Saints approached and it suddenly uncoiled and devoured him.
