CHAPTER 2
I woke up remembering what happened yesterday to see the girl I saved sleeping. I get up and stretch, and I look back to see her staring at me.
"Oh, you're awake," I say with a smile on my face. She stands up awkwardly, I extend my hand to her to pick her up.
"Hi, my name is Malik," I say. She takes my hand and says
"My name is Layla," she smiles
"Now, can you tell me what the hell that monster was?" I say
"That was one of the minions of Erbous, the demon of shadows. They have come to take the souls of people. Now, can you tell me how you manifested that gun back there?" she says.
"To be honest, when I saw you almost die to that monster, I was dragged into a place that was familiar to me and saw a man who said he was my gun or weapon or something like that, and he made a vow to always help me and be by my side. It was very touching." I said, shrugging. She seemed shocked. I don't think that's normal, so I guess it makes sense that she is shocked.
"I'm pretty tired. I'm going to sleep." I say immediately. Passing out.
The next day, I woke up looking for the clock, remembering what happened yesterday, I stood up and took a jog to the lake and dumped my face into it to see that nothing washed, and I didn't feel the refreshing feeling of the water, and said
"What are the damn chanses of getting blown up by a suicide bomber of all things, and he only killed me for all I know" I say looking into the water and not even seeing my face
" your right, he only killed you," Layla said, and I jumped looking behind me
"You have to tell people you're there, man. Also, how do you know how I died?"
"You're a celestial oddity, a creature with the potential to become a celestial entity," she says
"Hold up, hold up, first of all, the kaijuu that I killed yesterday, you called it a minion of Orobos or something like that."
"Erbous, the demon of the shadows, to exact his revenge for sealing him in the abyssal dimension and to reclaim his freedom, sends abyssal monsters to the world of the living and the world of the dead."
"Oh, so tell me what happens now. Do I stay here, do I go to the afterlife, do I just disappear?" I say in a surprisingly calm tone, in complete contrast to what I'm thinking at this moment.
"To be honest, I don't want the impact I have on this world to be over. I want to live life the most freely." I say with a bittersweet face. Trying to calm my nerves, remembering the promise given to Yunus.
"Don't worry, Malik, your story does not end here."
"So, tell me, Layla, what happens now?" I say with a tone that sounds ready for anything, she called me over to sit down and told me about the three ways to get to the world between which is basically the center base of the association she is from, called the Bouhuren. She told me you can either be born there, or be personally chosen by a captain of one of the 5 factions, or lastly undergo a trial to be one of Bouhuren.
" Ok, so if I get this straight, I have to go under a trial to be one of you? Where do I sign?"
"It's not that easy. Only one person has ever made it through this trial," She said conserningly.
"It's either that or just let my impact on this world be over, right, so I guess there is no other option. So I guess just forget about me, I guess, and let me go through this so-called unbeatable trial," I say, a little afraid for my life
"Ok, but heed my warning, this will be the most challenging thing you ever faced in your life"
" I SAID I'M READY, GOD DAMNIT. WHY DO YOU KEEP SAYING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN" She pouts and says
"I just thought you would want to stay a little longer" then she pistol-wipps me with the bit of her gun and I get sent to what looks like the shadow realm. Infront of me looked like a window of a game system and it said trial 1/100 beginning in 3, 2 , 1 and Go.
